Ease up joemt825 he hasnt said anything wrong . At some point and time we all have felt like we were getting shanked by the game . It has seemed that some of the game outcomes were just butt ignorant programming . The shots made no sense whatsoever and made us all say WTF

@ msejnoha Dont let the game get you down . Yeah it not only gets frustrating but is going to stay that way most of the time . But dont let it get you down its still a fun game to play . The guys are all for the most part giving you great advice and understanding on the game . There`s a thread " Advice for New Players " >>>>>>>> . Pull it up and read it ,it has a lot of not only helpful advice but is also very encouraging as well .

As you play also take time to practice and learn how to read the game . Practice hitting all of the different shots and watch the outcomes . In time it will stop being meaningless and start making sense . The explanations that you have been getting are spot on and if you take time to practice you will see this . In spite of what you may go through you can and will reach Legend and above .

So dont let it get you down just play and have fun . Just like real golf this game too is the most aggravating game you will ever enjoy playing . So play well have fun and good luck . :-)

Game already has been made much easier over the years due to better equipment and balls yet people still complain.  The game was at it's best long ago when -3 was considered a real achievement.

    MistressCosette:

There is a blog on my profile page that is VERY long, and worth reading for those who want to get better and do some math and understand some physics that are programmed into this game. The blog has taken 3 years to compile (and I still add to it on occasion as I learn new things) and it's VERY long and takes a few weeks of practice or more to master, but there is a long treatise on wind calculations that is worth reading. Of course, some like to go by "feel" but you ultimately do math to work this game properly.  Take it for what it's worth to you, but I've had a lot of positive feedback on it.

    Enjoy.

    MC

Thank you.  I will check it out.

Thanks lonnie and most everyone else for your advice. I have no doubt I'll reach higher tiers.  Unfortunately, it'll probably be like when I was at the Master tier. I just started playing better, then tiered up. And yes, borntobesting and joemt825, i understand that's how the game is designed.

FWIW, I would think that almost anyone you ask would tell you they tiered up before they felt they were ready. It happened to me when I went from Master to TM, and again from TM to Legend.

My average was over 63 when I was bumped up to Legend, after placing well in a couple of WGT tournaments, including a 3rd place as a TM in the Valhalla Classic.

Biggest thing is have fun and enjoy the game.
