ok so I don't complain but I have to say, this is something that irritates the crap out of me.

So I'm ready to go sign up for a PAID (not talking about freebies) tournament.  There's 32 of 50 scores already reported yet you can't see them.  I get the whole "well if you see them then you won't play" mentality but the fact still remains it's my money, my credits.  I want to see scores from participants who've gone before me to see if there is even a REMOTE POSSIBILITY i'll place.  The way this is setup screams "hey we're WGT and we're going to take your $ no matter what you think" and to me that's total BS.

I want to play in the paid tournaments but I don't want to sign up and cough up my 500c only to find some guy that makes his living on WGT has scored a (in 4th place) 34 on a 72 par 18 hole game.  There is NO WAY in hell I would even come close to competing with that.  Yes a little exaggerated but you get the point.  I can't honestly be the only person that feels this way with the way the paid tournaments are setup.

I spend $ hand over fist on this game for balls, clubs, club passes, etc. all for good use by me so $ is not the issue.  The issue is giving away $ to WGT for NOTHING on these paid tournaments.

rant over.. going back to my stroke game with the measly Master levels.

First, look at former results of these competitions - they are telling!

Second, enter low entry RGs to try the waters.

Third, only get into tiered RGs (of your Master tier) to avoid to be beaten by the best of the best.

Wait until it's full. What alosso said is even better-look at the past leaderboards for an idea of what it will take to cash.

I was under the impression you had already entered. Since that's not the case, alosso's advice is your only option.

FWIW, instead of looking at the scores, look at the conditions and then pick one you know well. You'll have a better chance of success that way.

i appreciate the response though, thank you.

That's the whole "gripe" I have.  Can't really see what sharks are in the water until you're already in it and bleeding and your credits gone with the wind with absolutely no chance of getting close to the payout levels.

I agree with you entirly. Another thing that really gets me is the payouts. I just looked at a 500cr entry tournament at PB. The payout showed that the person, won't mention name, got 250cr for 30th place, they shot a 68. Good, right! Wrong! The person that placed far ahead of him shot 58 and got...you guessed it 250cr. If you beat someone by 10 strokes you should make more credits. I get it that they are trying to get people to participate by making a longer payout, but 30 places is 60% of the field. They need to cut it to 20-25 places. That way it would beef up all the prize money and if you score better, you should make more. I like you, have put a lot of money into this game and devoted a lot of time trying to get better, only to find out that I can play like crap and make the same as someone who scores well. I posed this question to WGT, not once but twice, both times about a year apart. I got the same answer with no results. " we will take it under advisment." They really don't care as long as they keep getting your $s.
