  You're kidding right?  Honest players should lose balls and $$ because they're protecting the integrity of the scores?  Is there even integrity of the scores with sandbaggers and multi-accounters?  But that's for another thread.

  I don't think they induce stutters and lag to counter auto clickers.  At least I hope not because I'd be really pissed.

  Do you live with a car that stutters or stalls sometimes on accelerating?  When you pull out in front of that 18 wheeler do you cross your fingers it won't hesitate?

  I agree with this but I think what YJ is suggesting is that the game deliberately throws the odd meter glitch in when you've been dinging great.  It's happened to me and thinking about it there seem to have been a lot of posts from people complaining a great run of birdies has been ruined by a meter fart.

  I'm not a conspiracy theory guy but maybe there is something to this, it would stop an auto-click program hitting, or damn near hitting, the ding every time.  A person should be able to let it go through and take an air shot. Sometimes easier said than done though.

   

  Edit: Just re-read your previous post.  Who knows?  Maybe WGT are happy to let a few honest players lose balls to stop the cheats winning.  A person should be able to react in time and not get screwed, perhaps a lost ball or ruined round is the price of complacency.

  How come I have never lost a ball due to a meter spike? I'm feeling left out. You make it sound like it's a normal occurrence for the majority of the players all the time to lose balls and money. All I'm saying is until there's a better way to outsmart these auto click programs you get to live with the meter but it doesn't have to rule your game.

  But let's play with a perfect meter. Smooth as silk (haven't we heard that from someone before?) with zero problems, exact same every time. What do you do about the auto clickers? IMO that's where the integrity of the scores would be hard to protect.

  As someone who works in software development, I can assure you that WGT's goal is to eliminate meter inconsistencies. This, certainly, is not something that would be intentionally programmed.

  I basically agree. But, there are other factors too. Such as; available bandwidth, stability of internet speed & ping latency, network resource allocation, wireless router signal strength, other programs running on the computer, etc.

  That's where it gets tricky, we're talking about reacting 1/50 of a second slower or faster being the difference between heavy rough and water.

  Sorry if I jumped into a private arguament here, you just seem to both be on the same side but facing different directions.

  Ever seen the meter pause at the top of the swing ? My thoughts are that pause is (or should be) the way to beat the auto clickers - a random pause up to a few tenths of a second at the top would throw them off by enough to make them worthless. Even better, it wouldn't affect real people who only have a problem when the meter pauses near the ding line.

  Getting the meter to run smooth should be simple - I remember a game called Ping (or was it Pong) 30 years ago that moved a white line up and down a computer screen to hit a ball. There has been a fair bit of improvement in computers since then so if WGT want to make the game harder they should decrease the accuracy of the clubs / balls and get rid of the random stutters that just annoy people.

   I'm telling all of ya now... lol.. as soon as it happenz, right click and send a bug report.. I just did, and in the subject line I put "Fix yer F'n Meter" .. and complained about it being crap, to buy specific speed clubbz (1/2 meter speed max for me ) only to find that half of my swingz are with meter speedz like 10+millisecondz faster.. and the meter psyches you out too.. it startz normal, then shootz about half way down.. I have been making movies of my games since I first joined.. I have movies of K I course with almost no grass, no water, lol, and the par 3 that iz hole 14 was a big domed top mound in space with a little green patch on top.. I remember when you could see almost all the info of an opponent, and replays showed you the word Eagle, and Birdie ...  Enough reminissing .. 

    I see Cheatz on both sides.. WGT and the players.. WGT~VEM, Meter, Balls now loosing hit points on the green (I had 3 Dove balls taken, 2 balls as I lined up for the second (par put), 1 that I just tapped around on the green like 6 times to see if it would happen.and why do B-ES 10 cent ballz have less life suddenly.... I had 40 of them I bought before the switch, they lost it too.....  The Lip-Out feature, That was really cool when they first implimented that physix, now having it happen every 3rd shot iz getting way annoying... The wind phisix.. lol.. how could you F up the wind.. well they have messed with it too.. sometimes that 16 mph in yer face iz 16 mph in yer faceand about 1/2 speed er 8 in this case if it comes from the side... just an observation.. but where the heck did the tail wind go.... I haven't hit a 340 yard drive with a 20 mph tail wind, in like 6 monthz.. all of these little changes equil 1 thing.. extra hitz on the ballz, and that equilz more balls being bought by playerz .....(DUH)

  Before I begin on the player Cheatz.. Look at my statz.. I am a Master, and have been for almost a year and a half. It iz very appearant that I am NOT using a cheat program, (other than the new and improved we wanna get yer money WGT Game) .. I have over 11 Thousand puttz.. Thatz just from the games I actually kept.. I truly have dumped probably 6 games, for everyone I kept.. I have put over $100 into WGT .. It has taken me about 6 monthz to get my average down to where it is now.. I spent a year of trying to hit all the flag stickz lol.. back then Master was the top of the line, I felt I could work on some of the badges.. GIRz, Flagstickz, Scrambles etc... I was at 78 average when WGT did the big switch... I was mad at first, (sorta still am ), but after reading the whinning of those thrust into Legend lol. I felt I dodged a big bullet.. I am a disabled Vet, and don't have a the cash to constantly upgrade my equipment, I make what I have work.... In real life, you can't buy accuracy you have to earn it.

   Player Cheats... lol.. RGs.. just read the forumz, and ya just know thatz just 1 big cheat, as I told a friend of mine once when we were in Nevada, Th e machine can't cheat you outta cash if you don't put your money in there.. I have done maybe 3 RGz..  NOW here iz the Biggie.. If you look back at my past postz you will know exactly where I am commin' from.... The Perfect Meter iz a Cheat program that measures the the timming of your club in millisecondz from the time you release the left mouse button to the time it gets to the Ding line.. you adjust it for your clubbz.. The last time I posted in the Forumz , I was sooo pissed at TBE who issued a challenge of $100 to anyone who could get 58 or less on Congressional, then stipulated that a master or lower using a cheat...lol.. Like I was going to load a cheat on this puter.. Like I said I have game capture software on this puter but no F'n way I'm going to load something that getz my membership here banned,... So that left me Mad, it was 11pm here , and I called a friend up the street, who had quit (because he was tired of playing against cheating playerz, and the meter iz a cheat), I called him, went to his house and installed my game capture software on hiz computer.. He then went and typed Perfect meter into the Google search.. pulled the site up.. downloaded and installed the program.. not the virtual caddy.. .. You get the point.. HE then set up ... After about an hour of playing with settingz adjusting the timming on the swing meter software, 2 lost balls, as I watched and showed him how to start and stop the capture software (Camstudio by the way.. iz Free)...

   the Point of this iz to help explain the STUPID Questionz about this software.. and how you can probably detect that someone iz using it...I seen Questionz like, How does it help to ding everytime.. the answer..

  Tested on Congressional.. (I took Notes) if you always Ding you will most likely NOT meter into the Rough on the right when the meter decidez it wantz to go a billion miles an hour and you think yer faster.. the meter will pass the ding line.. but barely.. not at the end where I continualy get pissed about not owning clubbz with meter speedz that fast.. if you adjust fer windage you will probably be safely on the fairway ... and then in possition to make green on shot 2.. adjust for windage.. and check it out.. first hole.. 1 yard=4foot Birdie putt.. I'm thinking that with all the accuracy and Forgiveness a Legend has paid for.. they oughtta be bale to just point and click to do that... YES YOU STILL HAVE TO PUTT.. lol.. come on 4feet... that was Hole 1...

  Hole 2 is a Par 3.. we were in a hurry to set up the Meter software and check it all out.. it was 11pm when I called him with the idea.. It was 2am now, and we decided to only setup the Driver and the Irons.. so he didn't use the software on hole 2

  Hole 3.. perfect dirve nothing but fairway...and second hit on the green,  3 yards from the hole for a birdie.. 

  Hole 4.. No Wall perfect hit , on the green 4.6 feet for a Birdie

  Hole 5...lol.. all I wrote down was EAGLE..

  I could go on and on..  My whole Point in all this was to Show that tere iz a cheat and it iz being used .. don't get me wrong .. The ignore it and it will go away attitude, instead of calling the player out.. I Read "Where iz the proof" all the time... Comming from friggin osterage Legends, (with their headz in the sand), and With astonomical number of posts, in the forums, but when you look up what they said you quickly learn that they just post to see their name in lightz, and hardly ever say anything that even remotly applyz to the subject.... Please feel free to Post after me...lol.. Cuz I just exposed a Cheat program or 2 and we need a bunch of Legendz to say Look over there a doggie... 

  I wish Turner would turn over hiz list of current IPs to WGT to compair ...lol.. I truly believe there would be a great silence in the Forumz.. I just looked at the Virtual caddy site.. inclueding my IP there was 264 viewers..

  I'm somewhat new at this and put up with a spastic meter all the time.  But how in the world can anyone cheat?
