    MBidney:

But honest players are getting penalized and WGT isn't doing squat to fix the problem.  This is a simple adjustment that would shake things up pretty well and I think we all would be better off for it.  I bet the slower meter balls/clubs would see a spike in sales just to try and get closer to the ding.

I don't think you fully understand how the cheat they use works, it is not an auto dinger they use...regardless of what they did to fluctuate the meter speed as it is, they just overwrite the hex code with  XX software and continue as was...your plan won't work.

the cheat doesn't slow the meter down, it's a tool to change the code, changing(overwriting) the code slows it down...it is all done on your pc, not the server, so even though they know your cheating, they can't prove it.

How do you stop them, you don't, but thieves follow the money, if you can't play like Mags and a couple of others, quit donating to them, if you do, you have no gripe...no money to win, no reason to stay...I wouldn't want to play mags, bollox, dansam, for ball money everyday would you?

No need to change meter speed etc just have a random delay on release of mouse as most auto click programs work on with the mouse release. That way your clubs meter speed and balls still work, but cheats can't. But why cheat, its a game of skill, anticipation and maths and puzzles that's why I play to work it out that's why vem annoys me.

It would for sure get the hackers off of twitch who think broadcasting some how legitimizes their game.

You've just thrown a cat amongst the pigeons. Bold statement.

AS I have it, and only go by what I hear from people who know more than me that I have actually asked - Now not difficult knowing more than me, but without offense to those a limited snapshot of people type stuff:

IF you twitch, and you show your desk top then the only way of cheating would be to have some macro enabled mouse?  This would lead to playing slow unless you thumped everything 100%, and any rpm (whatever) would likely be way exaggerated, and lead to doom.  Basically the macro enabled mouse is a no go, not a way to cheat reliably and stuffs the cheat more often than not anyway etc.

Therefore as I have it Twitch is a darned good way of showing you do not cheat any which way? Throw in a quick view of a desktop for fairy dust if like (as far as that round goes), but more or less very secure anyway (any round twitched is played fair)?

I hope so as even at my level some fairly poor players would be wondering - I do win the odd 9 hole RG.

I twitched a couple yesterday and played crap at the Merion F9 RG (won it the day before), but did better at the BoP5 RG, and even jagged the win there.  Now I am not blaming the game for my crap 32 round at Merion - Heck it's still on my twitch channel and my gungho go for gold style got me in trouble, and a couple of putts that sometimes drop never..I think I got a fair game.  Off to the BoP5 (also twitched) a win says I certainly got my fair crack of the whip.

BTW if anyone fancies twitch I am way below some gaming laptop and run it fine (they detail the recommended system - way below some latest game king PC).

EDIT: almost a shame WGT can't insist on some ultra low res twitch type thing compulsory for any given credit game, and more up to the person but low res good enough to weed out the scum.  I hasten to add no clue how feasible that is.

Excellent point, Jimbo. And, YES to your question.

    Keeping with Jimbo's thought -

Just because someone doesn't have a cheat engine showing on their desktop does not mean they are not using macro-enabled gaming mice and keypads that have several buttons to assign functions to.

With these, you can map early click, ding, late click, club selection, etc. to a few buttons. If you are watching a Twitch channel and you see the meter click stopping in the same position every time (e.g. early), that is a dead give away of a macro-enabled mouse click.

Assuming that anyone is just using some sort of visible cheat is ludicrous.

OK so basically as far as cheating goes you are saying twitch is rendered useless as any guarantee of even the round twitched being played fair?? Just for clarity.

I don't see how a pre programmed mouse could anticipate the odd RPM etc.  Just a ? :)

before any one says WGT vary the meter speed could they also say what testing equipment they scientifically tested that with, not just a shot went wrong and therefore.....Personally I think the meter speed does change v slightly now and then, and I have no problem with it.

My gut feel is that twitch is a fairly good indication the game has been played fair, but then what do I know I realise.

The mouse/keypad cannot, but the operator can after some practice.

Let's say for example, Oakmont has an average meter speed of 0.05s for your 5 Iron and Merion has an average of 0.03s (not knowing exactly what they are, I know they are different though) you can map a key or two for that specific club and course, adjust your aim accordingly and it will click your mouse where you programmed it to give you the best result possible. Being a software engr, I don't want to give away specifics to our less scrupulous players, Jim.

So, No, I do not believe that Twitch proves anything because some of these more expensive gaming keypad/mice have 25 programmable keys.

The topic of different meter speeds for different courses is something I've been thinking about lately..  I feel like the meter speed at Bandon is way faster than I'm used to.. I'm using 3,5 meter Nike balls and they're playing like Cally 33's.  I'm getting very frustrated. What's the point in spending more money on slow meter balls when they're not consistently slow?

Maybe it's just me.. at least that's what WGT would have me believe anyway.. lol

So for around $100 (just did a quick search on Amazon) a player can purchase one of these mice. And then proceed to program to suit the game-play?

Yep...lmao. I'd prefer to buy a weeks worth of balls with that $100..lmao

That's why I won't play for credits, TS

I doubt that players will GoPro their games, however...pmsl !
