Any tips on how to play the par 3 #8 at SA when the pin is at the front of the green (161 yards)?  If I try for the green I roll the ball across the green and face a monster putt.   If I try to go short, I end up in the bunker guarding the pin.  Any tips?

    Hi

no real tips really. Just hope for head wind, and get close.

But, if you do have to miss, stay away from left side as break is pretty bad

My only way downwind is freak luck, coming up a bit short of the fring, ball sorta pops up and trickles down the green, but ofcourse when I play to replicate it, I wind up with more bogies!.

Make your calculations for wind, distance, ect. Then go for the pin with as much backspin as your clubs, balls allow.  Good Luck...

If you have to birdie this hole and have a wind behind you, there isn't much you can do but take one club less and use all the backspin you can.  If you can stand a par then accept a putt from 25 feet pass the hole.

into the wind you can get close, I have made it once in alt shot with a 20 mph wind in my face.

20 MPH downwind, take normal distance club with full back spin and choke down a little.  Should just make the green and stop within about 15 feet past the hole.

I aced it with an 18mph wind L to R, from legend tees, hit 175 with full back spin aimed left and hit early. Generally though with a tail wind subtract for the wind and then take off another 5yds, use fbs.
