Hello all, my wife and I have been playing Congressional front 9 a lot these days and were trying to figure out how far the inviable wall (tree) over the the bunker on #4 extended to the right as you viewed from the tee side of it. We had both hit hit ever time we trued ti approach the green.  Today it seemed to be gone, we never once hit it. Just curious if anyone can confirm that this has been corrected?

I'm wondering when the invisble tree is going to be chopped down in front of the 12th tee?

I think the invisible wall they speak of is an overhanging branch that has knocked a few of my shots down and into the bunker.

If you don't aim away from the pin from there, like trusting the default aim,  you'll hit that tree even though you think you won't. That whole area isn't mapped real good (better than it was) but punches get you out OK if you aim into the fairway.

Except if you try to punch a 3wood..(ie the only club which will get u to the green outta the rough)

If you're where that obstruction is you're in trouble and should just play back to the fairway. The angle to the pin from there has a tree branch you can't see in the way.

Rereading this I realized the OP was talking about the tree by the sand trap on the left where, on the approach, your shot hits a branch and drops straight down into the trap. That has surprised me a couple of times. That's also an area that is a little suspiciously mapped. This screenshot is next to the area in question.

If your approach goes slightly left of pin, the ball will hit some sort of branch, but as the screen shot from yanke J above, there doesn't seem to be a tree overhanging there, but when you are aiming from the usuall approach yardage, there is a tree to the left.  I've hit it several times, so i'll always try and lay up to the right of pin.

This is the guilty tree, anyone got a chainsaw???
