Every new course WGT has made available ever since I started playing mainly consist of +450yds par 4 holes. I have a suspicion that this is a conscious decision of the developers to force players to buy drives only to be able to make par.

What do you think? Are WGT really trying to make a good game better or are they just trying to cram out as much $ as they can from the users?

Totally agree. I think it was obviously a conscious decision, Its the dollars mate... look around elsewhere the ball situation for instance is a classic example...

Has anyone else noticed that there are 5 dots of durability...?

Has anyone noticed that none of them have the full 5...? None! even the expensive ones at 325 credits

Has anyone noticed how crap durabilities are for the most expensive wgt balls...?  One dot... lol

Has anyone any idea why a coloured ball costs more..?

    I could go on....

Has anyone noticed that wgt are taking the piss out of us here?

Theres making money and theres making money, but come on WGT ffs play fair.

In the true spirit of real golf it does cost money to improve your game however, this is still in effect a computer game though.

Actually, I think what you're seeing is the championship courses. Obviously, they are designed to be much harder.

You can always play in practice mode and set your own wind, length, & green speed

Gentleman and to all that gripe on here about WGT ripping us off. Its a game site and I might add a good one. It is also a business with sponsors and what do all businesses try to do???Make money!

. If ya dont like it, dont play it. Im more concerned with the meter cheats that some players on here have actually put utube videos of and still they are members here. Or maybe the one i saw on utube is fake?....cheers

Sure. WGT told the course owners to lengthen all the holes on their courses and move the fairways back.

course length is the same for the open http://www.royalstgeorges.com/index.lasso?pg=bc6c6b919e6afd90&mp=f1d31e406b2b6c9a

In fact the 2nd on WGT is shorter 426yards for open 413yards on WGT!

The 5th is also shorter On WGT to 416 yards for open 402 yards on WGT!

Note: thous two holes are only shorter because of the pin placement.

open course length total is 7204yards , Wgt is 7184 yards

so no the course length is not a scam its correct  small difference in yardage due to pin placements.

I think WGT has done a fantastic job this year. They have put out alot of new courses along with new equipment. Putting together a new course takes a lot of money and many hours of coding to make the courses the best they can be. You have to realize all the coding that goes into every shot, wind direction, wind speed, the different yardage, the lies the bunkers, rough, every inche of the greens, fringes, trees and all the other obstacles. I am sure if you were a game developer/coder or you were working for wgt, that you would want to receive your paycheck? They also then have to see all the negative responses from everyone complaining about the bugs and how they are ripping off the players. Sorry but in reality, if you don't want to help them out by spending money on the clubs, tournaments and all the stuff that wgt offers, then don't complain when there is a problem.

Now let's see all the smart replies to my post. :)
