You've, as usual, explained things perfectly well, Scott.

    If I may:

When using % that refers to the width of the existing 'forum space' that you are posting to, be it here or elsewhere - not the width of the image you are posting. 100% will fill the width to it's max, 50% = 1/2 the width etc.

Sticking 'px' after the width dimension will determine the exact size in pixels. Here in WGT land if you use 450px then the height of the image will be kept to the same ratio. Entering the height will obviously change that.

As Scott's already said I find it easier just to use 450 as my default (pixel) width to ensure an image or html table shows clearly - if it's less than 450 then it obviously just shows as the original default size.

BTW if I'm posting an image on someone's profile for them to use in a blog etc I find 220 pixels wide fits snugly enough to be clearly seen regardless of the original dimensions.

Yes, that's correct, but only if the width value specified in the Insert Media dialogue is greater than the 'existing forum space'. If it is less, then 100% will make the image the size specified in the Insert Media dialogue. Values less than 100% will make the image to that percentage of the forum width, (or wherever you are posting it) or the width specified in the Insert Media dialogue, whichever is smallest.

Yes. Specifying both width and height values will distort the image unless they are the same aspect ratio as the original image. But, specifying a width value in the Insert Media dialogue and a height value in the Edit Image dialogue, or vice versa, will not distort the image.

Yes, that is fine. Although again you could specify a width of 100% in the Edit Image dialogue and it would fit just as well, and if the image is tall enough to activate a vertical scrollbar, the 100% width setting takes that into account for maximum space usage. But it does take a little extra typing and clicking. It might be easier for some folks just to remember 100% than the different pixel width values for blog, wall posts and the forum.

    Thanks J.

EDIT : I will say this, it's a lot easier to do than it is to write about! Lol.

EDIT 2 : Thank you Andy. That's the trouble with gifting. I started using the Callaways a long while back before they introduced the softies, and was quite happy with them. The softies were a bit weird in the beginning, so I tried the Nikes and wasn't too sure about them. Then I got gifted some when I had them equipped, and that's what people do, gift you what you are using, very nice too, and that's what has been happening ever since. I've now been using them so long that I'm used to their attributes even though the Callaway softies are now playing the same as the old Callaways used to (as far as I know).
