So in my old age i have found that the swing meter seems pretty fast to a degree of hitting the mark 1 in maybe 10 times..
Was thinking of spending a few dollars and upgrading if it helps this problem i have..Now i heard about balls slowing the meter down alittle but what about clubs?Im no master probaly will never see that tier but made pro pretty fast and im not really that either but hey thats the way the tiers work here..

    Any help would be great

If you want slow , you can't go wrong with the Ping Raptures . Better distance, slower meter than the Tour starters. more forgiving.  Pair them up with the GI-D balls, and the meter almost crawls.

I Zagie.  I went to the Game Options and shut down everything I didn't want or need.  You can also change Flash Quality there.  In the Advanced Settings , there is an option to switch the Background Loading to off.  It reads:  "Players with lower end computers or slower internet connections may benefit from a smoother swing meter and ball flight.

After turning off some or most of this stuff (experimenting) I definitely notice a difference with a smoother swing meter and started hitting that darn white line more consistently.  No, I'm not a geek and don't really know why, but it does seem to do something that helps me.  Others may know of good reasons for not doing this so please weigh in?

Also, try hitting putts with a higher meter...even those under 30 feet.  I felt like I got a free free putter upgrade when I discovered this technique.

Hi Zagie.  What I described caused my meter to smooth out when putting (Still experimenting with other shots), which seems to slow things down if nothing else.  I don't really think speed is the problem (you'll get use to that with practice) its the meter not being consistent and jumpy that drives me nuts.  Also, as discussed in other threads, try taking a practice swing to measure how fast the meter is running.  All you have to do is not stop the meter when it gets to back to the white line.  It will not count as a stroke... you can also do this to save a stroke when the meter hesitates or jumps.

Got to say full screen helped alot..Shot a -4 on the back 9..I felt like a school boy that just got straight a's..I think it was just bigger that helped out..Still want to slow down the meter a tad, dont mind not getting distance or good scores just want to hit the ball straight as i said befor..

But will say after reading alot of forums abit worried on going into the wallet, not because im poor but becuase i have no idea if 35 dollars is going to really improve my game( i play for fun) and also alot of post with this game has been in beta forever and isnt close to coming out..But again new to this and still testing the waters..Wanted to thank you all on advice as it will make purchasing new clubs a easier task in the future..Just wish they had a test drive on the equipment..Imean if it does help as a few have said it did it would make buying upgrades a easier decison

Look at it this way. If you spend the 35 dollars it is still the cheapest computer golf game out there.

Your $35 might be the final amount of money required to smooth out the swing meter..........lol       Výsmech
