Whats the chance of getting a good desert course?

I live in the Phoenix Metro area and we have several really good courses here.

    Talking Stick

    Troon North

    TPC Scottsdale

    plus many others.

I hate to rain on your parade, but the vast majority of people want well-known courses like the recent Congressional Country Club. Anyway, we have a desert course in Cabo Del Sol.

TPC Scottsdale is very well known Sarge.

It's home to this Stadium hole with room for about 20,000 spectators.

Yes it's well known, but not that well known.

You're right Doodles, but not that right.  I'd never heard of Bethpage Black until they played a US Open there.  And that will never happen in Phoenix cuz its too damn hot in June.

TPC Sawgrass would be awesome.  They have the Players every year.  What about Augusta?  Or Whistling Straits?

Many people including me don't care for the desert style of courses.  I have played 2 of the ones on the original list and think they are just better than average, although Troon North is a good tract.  TPC at Scottsdale is one of the weakest courses on the PGA Tour, it has great crowds but the course itself is not anything special.

TPC at Sawgrass, Memorial up in Ohio, would be good additions.  I would like the WGT to only pick courses that have hosted a US Open, British Open or PGA to be put on the site.  SOuthern HIlls over in Tulsa would be a great addition.  Take a look at the courses that have had those tournaments and you will see a list of many of the really great courses in the US and GB.

    I suppose. But, at least it's a multi-use course.

I recently spotted this doing the CTTH. It's a sofa! My theory is that it will be the new set for The Simpsons.
