i mean in real golf. im just curious if the front 9 is laid out in an almost straight line. based on the 9 hole single play i just played, it would have to be since i was going into the wind the hole time with a little variation between into left, straight into, and into right. would be a strange layout that way but i think its just WGT trying to be funny.

Several on here have played it in real life.  Thinking maybe Yankee Jim, TarHeelsRule... others.  But WGT's wind is just random, per hole.  Two consecutive holes could be directionally headed North, but the wind could be from different directions on both.

This subject once came up regarding St. Andrews, which for the front nine heads essentially all one direction and coming home heads the opposite.  Nevertheless, the wind is all over the place on the WGT version

I have heard that the head greenskeeper @ BPB will go no where near hole number 15 after patrons have putted out. He is the 9th one they've hired in 3 years. The others were found in the woods with multiple wounds inflicted primarily by putters but one guy was hatcheted in the middle of his forehead with a sand wedge.

    It's not pretty people !

Some form of hard hat is in order then or do you just adopt the full Village People construction outfit when playing it SM?

You need to be the construction guy, the Indian Chief won't work....feathers too soft.

The holes do not go in one direction like a classic links course. Ive played the course many times.

WGT uses random winds on each hole so even though some courses, Kiawah and St Andrews for example, probably RSG as well tend to have a number of holes that run in the same direction, the winds are not consistent from hole to hole, for example on Kiawah 10 through 13 run south on the beach and 14 through 18 run north, these can have the exact opposite winds that you think they would.

I've played Kiawah, St Andrews and Bethpage and real life and WGT winds are not the same thing.

I've played Bethpage Black twice, It's an American version of a classic links course, many holes run in various directions and the slopes are deceiving.

Anybody ever get a 2 on #15 at Macbethpage Black? If so, you save it?
