    Just my 2 cents worth;

    Create the wind direction randomly for each hole on a per round basis.  The info could be stored in a wind database.  30 mph winds that are random may not level itself out over two rounds.  These inconsistencies are a great boost to to players having favorable winds, and a deterrent and round killer for unfavorable winds.   Moderate winds, I can live with the inconsistencies.

    But the smart play is each player is facing the same conditions, thus the scoring is relative to the conditions.

    Thus, in my opinion, each  RG, weekly or monthly tournament we play, the course conditions (including wind direction), is the same for everyone.

    You can tell sometimes that a player had favorable winds during a round especially high winds.  He or she shoots a 59 and other players struggled with a 65.

    Also, in my opinion, this would be easy to implement.

    I agree with everything that was said about the winds. It would be nice to have the same conditions for everyone. I have had rounds with the wind in my face all day and rounds were the wind was in my favor all day. Would i like to see the conditions the same for everyone? yes and no. The other side to this in my opinion is if the winds were the same for everyone. Bolloxin (not a knock on you bolloxin) and a few others would win a vast majority of the tournaments. With random winds, a guy who might not normally finish in the top five might get favorable winds and have a really good round and maybe win or at least finish in the top five. Tough topic to have a perfect sollution too.

    Wildcat has a good point.   A great wind set for the top 4 or 5% = 54/55 ... the same wind set for the rest of us = 58/59... maybe ...   My thought would be keep it random .. go to 4 rounds.

    Instead of complaining, maybe we should suggest it?    If you have a moment, please give some thoughts and feedbacks here.....

    Isn't that pretty much what happens anyway? The very best will win the majority of the times irrespective of the conditions unless they are incredibly easy.

    I agree, especially for a big tournament like the Open. I could care less if the wind is 30mph or 50mph, but everyone should have the same winds.I faired okay in the US Open, 20th place...but as an example, in round 1, on 7 of 18 holes I had the worst possible wind for those particular holes(imo of course, everyone has dif views of bad winds for each hole). 20mph tail on #2, 18mph left to right on #4 and #5, 17mph tail on #7, 20mph headwind on #11, 19mph tail on #15, and 20mph head on #18.

    #2: Ugly

    #4: 18mph crosswind l-r is difficult to draw, I agree (100% Driver in full bs, click on the beginning of meter pale blue left area to draw the shot)

    #5: Safer to play with 3W, in this wind condition (I got it in 1st round - 16 crosswind l-r). You'll play the 2nd from fw, 130-140 yds to the pin.

    #7: this is not so awful. I got strong tailwind twice (16 and 14). Played with 160 n/s instead of 175. The ball landed on green, ran across it and over the bank to stop 4&5 feet close. Birdied twice.

    #11-#15-#18: Ugly

    (BTW, I agree with the main comments about the high wind influence)

    Don't get me wrong....I agree that the wind needs to be the same for everyone. I can't even remember the last time that i did'nt have a head wind on the par fives on St. Andrews. I just think that there is two sides to the wind discussion and that there is not gonna be a perfect solution that everyone will agree on. 4 rounds would probably even things out in the end.

    Four rounds / Two weeks should be the WGT Majors format.

    I agree with you and TheLighterDark (as written in Virtual US Open and Virtual Open Championship Suggestions Thread)
