Something I've always found a bit odd around here:
SidersBest:
every 3 feet equal a yard
Nobody ever says a yard equals a yard. For some reason everyone says 3 feet of elevation will equal 1 yard less distance the ball will travel. Or every 3 feet of drop will be 1 yard more travel.
Why don't we just say a yard = a yard?
I guess it's because elevation change is shown in feet while distance to hole is shown in yards. So, question asked, question answered.
Still seems bloody daft though :))
