    Dneirf:

    kishoph:
~snip~ My ideal putter would be the Odyssey Sabertooth M1, But I'd be happy with any upgrade over the Odyssey Tank that was a 15, 30, 60, 100, 150 ~snip~

Odyssey Sabertooth Putter M1 (L98+) sent WGT-XPS>>>>> _/\_ to "kishoph"

    God Bless and Enjoy,

Thank you so much Dneirf, this really made my day. You're generosity is very much appreciated and should be commended.

    Thank you,

    Gene

Check this out:  July 14th, SantaJr35 got a new set of irons and a putter from Gift of Golf Foundation.  5 days later - more irons, driver, etc., here for "Christmas."  LOL!

Well, not actually funny.  I take that back.  He's the kind of guy Ayn Rand warned us of, and gives the "safety net" and people legitimately needing a hand up a very bad name.

    Ugh.

I wondered about this from the beginning.  I don't know I guess it was a weird feeling, but at least some deserving people got some things they needed so that is a good thing.

    Hi AlaskanDame,

Yes, I've been blessed since I started this thread and received gifts from others. I did have some starter equipment, but I think I was well deserved of some new equipment. It just seems to me that your jealous or berating me because I left your CC. I also don't appreciate the rude and sarcastic message you sent to me as well. I formally told you why I was leaving and hoped that there were no hard feelings. The "Christmas in July" event is for anyone to give and receive gifts, although not every one may receive one. What makes it possible is the many "Santa's" that give, and this has been that way since OPY (opyeuclid) started it. Any credibility you may have had as a CC owner went out the window the moment you decided to criticize people that leave. No offence intended towards AlaskanDame.

    Best Regards,

    Marc (MARCJR35)

This is a very unfortunate situation, and has cast a very dark shadow, on a very good program. Might make some very good people think twice, about helping others out.  Reminds me of the time, when people found out that the CEO of United way was getting 80% of the money that was donated.  He, likewise stated that he "deserved" it!  Why?  I just hope that the program hasn't been hurt too badly, that it folds.  All I can say is, I hope you enjoy your "take" on what your role was, in the program!  Good luck to you, sir, and by the way, it seems that you did say those things to your former cc owner, in offense to her.  :^(

    Don't bite, Marc.

Here's what I was about to post. Your reply had my message taking forever to be posted...

Think a wee read through this whole thread and from when the OP posts on the GOGF thread may be in order for some...  don't want you wasting precious petrol on those unlit torches.

I see a person that posted on the Gift of Golf Foundation thread - as plenty have - asking for help. I saw a reply from CEverrett acknowledging the request and confirm a gift of irons had been sent.

Now, just suppose Dnierf happened to see the same post I did without a reply having been made, or, s'pose Dnierf never even looked at the GOGF thread and, open your minds at this bit, perhaps, out of the goodness of his own heart thought "Hmmm the guy appears to at least be trying to do the right thing, think I'll send him a gift, a sort of thank you".

I read of other folk jumping in and sending individual gifts to the OP via the GOGF thread; a putter, a driver, and/or a 3wd among them. So what? I'll wager they did it off their own back and for the same reasons. Namely the OP's endeavours to get his/Opy's/Mr.C's - who does it matter's idea ffs? - off the ground. I remember Mr.C and others do the same for me without my knowledge.

Oh and not once on this thread have I read an obvious attempt by the OP to con anybody out of anything, nor have they stated they are the sole supplier of gifts.

Opy's signed up, WGTChamp's signed up... good enough for me.

    Well said Johnny.

Far too often the "spirit" of Christmas gets lost.

Here is Dneirfs' greatest wish for Christmas in July 2018:

That World Golf Tour activate Dneirfs' Account with: "Virtual Enabled Mastery" (VEM), so that I may achieve the Champion Tier really extremely soon!

Thanks World Golf Tour, for an potpourri of excitement, emotions, game play, ups and downs, and much more.....thanks.

    God Bless,
    -Dneirf
