This post was started in July, 2011.  It's now May, 2012. I'm curious if ANYTHING, no matter how minor, has been done to assist the CC's? Has wgt. done the least little step to address these issues?

I feel I know the answer without a word of reply. Of course not. If if ain't filling their already bulging pockets then forget it. Not going to happen.

If I didn't see it everyday I would not believe any company anywhere could survive and prosper with the total lack of concern, the uncaring attitude and the greed that just keeps getting worse.

Yes it is interesting to see the lack of interaction between members and WGT.

As an ex-software developer (not games) I had weekly meetings with the end users to determine progress and needs but I get the feeling that due to the number of participants, WGT can't or won't try set this sort of thing up.

I run a small CC of very enthusiastic players and we are just about to run our Matchplay final (everyone had to go back to starters clubs to compete). WIner wins a Plus 4's avatar (our equivalent of the Masters Green Jacket).

The hardest part is it is up to just 2 guys (myself and another) who fund our tournaments to expand our experience on here. And it is getting hard because decent balls cost too much considering they have the equivalent half life of a popped ballon ~

Guys who improve are not exactly overwhelmed with WGT balls with no spin or features to speak of so your looking at giving away 300-400 credit balls each tournament and more if you offer tier'd prize pools.

As someone mentioned old clubs - hell I don;t want to rent them but let me sell them to another member coming up through theranks. Thecredits they pay would help fund our tournaments. 250 back on a 1500 set ? Really even local golf pro's aren't as stingy as that.

We won't use entry fees - WGT takes a cut - basically for nothing. Sure you calculate the winner and apply credits but fi I can gift balls and clubs why can't I gift CREDITS !

New courses - i know they don;t take 5 minutes but the game is going stale QUICKLY ! The same courses over and over with just exclusivity and pay to play using other courses. Forget it - you want people to play and spend you gotta entice them in. I won;t pay to play because frankly I am not good enough to win anything in a pay to play. Not when you see bogus looking 14 under Par scores scooping the kitty.

I played the WGT Nation was square after 9 and +7 after 18.

Put me in 1425th place 26 shots behind the leader.

Forget it - too many professional nerds playing those games - ot enough attention tot he playing average. And I am not a gambler - I gave one 9 hole game a shot without chekcing greens, tournament condition at Whistler ! Exited and blew my money after 4 holes.

Look there may be reasons for all this BUT WGT you ned to answer this stuff.

You have a player base and the people who have made it a success deserve to be kept in the loop and their question answered.

All power to those who bother to bang their heads againt the "glass wall" (the monitor) and receive no confirmaiton of their existence. My CC will contiue to plod along but I fear we will lose members unless features and fairness are QUICKLY implemented into the system.

    My 5 cents worth...

Very valuable, thanks for the effort in writing that all.

Everything you say is so true

    StormTigers:
Guys who improve are not exactly overwhelmed with WGT

I remember as a Hack being excited that I won 100creds, only as an amateur to realise wht i unlocked in the pro shop costs more than the 100 creds and there actually was nothing there for me to spend my 100 on!!

We also have a club in which many supporters dig from their own funds to place sleeves of balls and at times 1000creds as a single prize.

Many Hacks and Amateurs join WGT and leave, cant navigate the site properly, get beaten by people who have better clubs and they arent at a stage yet to justify buying credits..

Country Clubs (ours especially) encourage Hacks and Amateurs, we are working on Behalf of WGT to RETAIN these members.
A pair of L14 Z-Satins for 220 credits lights up their face

99cr set of Starters Plus clubs  gives them hope...  but NOTHING in return from WGT to help the Clubs.

Apparently you can start up a premium tournament with Trophy Only as the prize.
So, say 50cr to enter and the winner only receives a trophy and the club owner receives the credit balance after WGT take their cut.

Tried it once. The winner got all the credits. I emailed WGT and they did pay me the credits.
    Even that doesnt work..... :(

The next cc update will be having the olympic course added.

8 months since this thread had a reply from WGT, so it's not looking very likely that anything exciting is due out this decade.

Oh well, back to the fescue :))

So much for having a Product Suggestion board on a forum huh?

Anyway - this gme is beta after what?? ... 4 years now? If I ran a business with such slow progress in my memberstaff - I wouldnt run a business at all.

Apparently WGT doesnt give a flying rats butt unless its suggestions they can make money out of.

And yes I do know its a business, and like all businesses WGT needs to make money out of it.

Its just shocking how little is heard from anyone on WGT staf side.

Well idk if WGT will read this or how difficult it'd be to set up, but it seems like...

    1. Being able to go to a 19th hole/starter/chat room to set up current & future cc based tee time(s) or to see current open invite(s) to play a round(s) &/or challenge other cc's

would keep a lot of players in the game and would definitely make the CC's more fun. More fun = more players playing the game = more revenue. Maybe they need to have some more forum moderators if little is heard.

I notice there are some well overdue, new staff at wgt. Could you please take a look at some of the suggestions here.

CC's are the heart and soul of wgt, after all the money and time spent promoting play and advancement in the cc, its time we got somthing back in return.
