    RenoRick:
The 'sticky meter' is NOT with your computer.  Play St. Andrews and then plan Pinehurst.  You'll see what I mean.

Well, I guess it is with your computer, not mine.  I never see different meter behavior between courses.  Whe I have any meter problems, it is on any course I play.  Those two course you mentioned play quite differently without even thinking about the meter!!

I'm only trying to point out that the game would be much more enjoyable if WGT put more control into the player's hands instead of them and their randomizing protocol.

It seems to me the other way around. With only a couple of inputs on our end, "dialling in" a specific shot result would be unchallenging and get real old real fast. Comparing this game to real life is a little dodgy, but over there in RL, no matter how well you plan and execute a shot, the result can vary by many yards. No one is that accurate in RL. Here the game is not just homing in on a tiny patch of turf where you demand that your shot must land, but also recovering and making a decent score when you end farther away than you would hope, in the rough etc.

I totally agree, no two shots will have the same result. Same as real golf
