I’m still fairly new to WGT and I recently purchased my first club, the L30 TM R11 3-wood, to serve as a replacement for the starter driver, while still carrying the starter 3-wood, too.  For some reason, on the tee the auto caddy always gives me the starter 3-wood instead of the longer R11 3-wood.  Is there some way to change this?  I thought I could deal with it, but it’s getting very annoying.

Are you playing mobile?  I know they have had issues trying to get the clubs to equip properly on mobile.  Seems you may have to equip it each time - and check before you play!

I know they hope to get it fixed soon.

Or are you just saying both clubs are equipped, but the caddy always suggest the  starter?  If so, I would unequip the starter - you don't need it.

Yes, I’m playing mobile.  And yes, I’ve learned to check my bag before every session.  The customize equipment setting occasionally reverts from advanced to normal, which is a bit annoying but not really a big deal.

The problem is, like you suggest, I have both the TM 3-wood and starter 3-wood equipped and the caddy always suggests the starter.  I’d like to continue carrying both woods until I purchase a driver (I’m planning to wait for the L48 R1 driver).  The L30 R11 3-wood is rated at 227 yds, the starter at 205 yds, so the starter is a useful bridge to the 190 yd starter hybrid.  Unequipping the starter 3-wood just leaves an empty slot.

This probably isn't the answer you want but ... I was annoyed by the caddy selection often times, and worse was when I made the mistake of not looking close and playing the wrong club. So I fired my caddy. The only bad thing about having done that, is now when I grab the wrong club, I have nobody to swear at. 😂 I actually like it a lot better with the caddy turned off. I wish I could turn off my putter scale as well. I still frequently make the mistake of not checking close and playing the wrong scale.

Go into your settings and turn the caddy off . Then pick your own clubs .

it is going to mean spending some money but get 3 better evenly spaced wedges and then if your customized equipment is set to advanced simply change the 3 wood slot to a wedge slot and you will have your TM 3 wood as the caddy choice off the tee and have better wedges which will help your game immensely. Many of us got rid of both our 3 wood and hybrid and carried 4 wedges until legend tier., You can get 56 degree 60 degree and 64 degree Cleveland wedges that are close to your level for less than 3000 credits and believe me they are worth it.

Totally agree.  The wedges are key, and get at least the 56, 60, and 64 when you can.  In fact, I (and many others) suggest starting from the green and working backwards in upgrading clubs.

You hit the putter more than any other club in your bag - get the best you can.

You hit an approach shot on every hole - even the pars threes (from the tee!).  Shorter approach shots (say <100 yds) need a good wedge.  Get good ones.

Worry about the longer tee shots last.

I appreciate all the advice.  Much of it falls in line with my own long term plans as well.  Your thoughts on using the putter most are spot-on, and I’ve actually just purchased a putter, the L35 TM Ghost.  As for the wedges, one thing holding me back is the cost.  It’s the Clevelands I want and I refuse to pay actual cash money for credits, so patience is required.

As for the auto caddy, it looks like turning it off is the only option I have.  I’ll try that and hope it’s an improvement.

I don’t really disagree with this, but I will point out that if I want to be using a wedge for my approach shot, I’ll need to be long off the tee.
