Yeah you read it right. From about 30 feet out I FIVE putted! Triple bogey! Hit the 1st put 11 feet past the hole, 2nd one 4 feet past, 3rd 5 feet past, 4th 1.5 feet short, and finally tapped in. Hilarious!

And that is why I never attempt to hit the green in regulation. I feel I have more chance of holing out my 3rd shot than I have of ever putting for a birdie.

I've 5 putted the 2nd at St Andrews though :^)

I have five putted that hole as well, only one on WGT that I have taken more than 3 putts on.  Now I just lay up short and left or in the bunker.

I 6-putted Oakmont #2 on tourney speed greens - put my second shot above the hole, and when the putt slid by, it just kept going...  approx 20feet past

Then, as i was putting back up the hill I hit it hard - too hard and pretty much ended up where I started.

Proving that I'm a slow learner, that putt also slid by and down the hill...  can't remember what happened next, but ended with 6 putts !!!!  It can happen...

On that hole if i have a tail wind and tourney greens i'll aim to land it just over the bunker and then prey it stays. If it lands short into the bunker i won't be too upset as it's often the easiest way to par it. Birdies for me on that hole are a rare breed.
