    I mentioned this topic about a month ago and just about got my head chewed off in here. It is too easy for players to level up ( EX Points ) so they can get the better equipment. Cut down on the Alt shot games points and whatever else that is way too high.

    PRIESTESS:

    I would not so much look at the players Ave ,I would focus more on the loop hole,So for example they could simply Cap, what a player can earn( Profit) In match play only in a particular Tier.So amateur Tier,once you have profited more than 20 dollars in Match play you can no longer play for credits in that tier,Pro level could be 30 dollars Tour Master 40 dollars and Legend unlimited, this way a player wil not have the incentive to stay in match play in that certain Tier,Cap a players match play earnings in a Tier!! Simple!

    Geat idea.....where's WGT Icon when you need him. :)

    This is a great idea, I'm not a fan of MPC because of sandbagging.  I would only play a legend in MPC but a lot of times when you put that in the search criteria it takes too long to find an opponent, so I stick to ready go's.

    Great Idea Tess;

    However, earnings as a result of MPC are not counted.  They would need to setup a different tracking stat that would track winnings as well as losses.

     Actually, it would have to count earnings ... just the number of wins.

    And that really isn't a new stat to track since monthly match play points are determined by wins, right? .. with more points awarded for wins v. a higher tier?

    Match play wins and losses are tracked, but not the winnings associated with them are not.

    So if I have 10 wins 3 losses, and each MPC was for example 500 credits each.  The resultant earnings would be 8500 credits.

    Tess's idea has great merit, but you need to track the losses too.

    But, with addition of tracking, win and losses against various tier levels, may also add to the equation of advancement for the lower level tier players.

    For example a tour pro playing against various tiers.

    1. Against legend;           6-2;
    2. Against Tour Master;  10-3;
    3. Against Master;           12-2;

    A point system using your current level and competing against higher levels could be a way to trigger advancement to the next tier.

     My bad, Shade .... I MEANT to say that they would NOT have to track the earnings. Sad thing is, I even went in to edit that very thing, and changed something else instead.

    Icon didn't have power for 36 hours...hurricane and stuff...

    Few thoughts and this is from me:

    if you see a hack who is level 90, if you chose to play them, then it's your call. if I saw a player like that, it would raise doubts with me and maybe i'd consider finding a new game.

    as you all know, no system is perfect and if you guys have a better system that can successfully be applied, please post it and we'll gladly consider it.

    tracking non-rated games is not exactly simple or easy because of the conditions, mixed tiers,and random # of holes and shots each player has to take. even the best system will have problems.

    I recommend,. if you feel someone is sandbagging, please contact me privately about it or email members@worldgolftour.com with their names and we will check it out.
