I am just curious, how the hell a player remain an amateur with a score  average of 60 ! They are at level 81, has some of the best equipment and they play from the starter tee! someone please explain!

it's a case of lower tier players trying to expoit the advantages that they currently have against greedy legends who are also trying to make an easy buck thus the twain shall meet and someone will always be crying ast the 19th hole and by general concensus so far it's the legends.

No, not at all...and the same thing some of are saying, could be held true for a TM vs a level 88 TP...the TP at level 88 has all the same equipment a level 88 TM can have...both (by levels it's obvious) they have struck as many balls here, played as much, have the same experiance...but the TP now has a tee advantage or the TM (Master too).

No one is crying, heck, no one is even complaining, just voicing concerns to level the playing field between teirs...Just like (not sure if it still exists) Wendys used to sponser a "3 Tier Open" or something similar...PGA players, Seniors and LPGA players...all hit from respective tees, all had roughly the same approach shot to green in distance...now LPGA player may use 5 iron from 160, Sr may use 6 iron, and PGA player used 7 iron....that levels the playing field...sure, in the day Laura Davies would be 70 yards ahead of Freddie off the tee and hitting wedge, but all in all it was a fair format.

As I see it, Legends are not greedy, but want to play on an even field...or do you think because a TM/Master/TP...etc has the same equipment as I do, has the same experience level as I do...I should (because I choose to play ranked rounds) be able to fairly play that person (RG or MP) who gets to hit a 60 degree wedge to the green while I play a 6 iron?

Bank some ranked rounds, lower your average and move up...then revisit this post:)

And Juan...quit trying to drum up another MPC in every dang thread..lol

If you don't play stroke play and just confine your game to alternate shot or whatever, your rank will never change, so a TP could stay there forever if the so choose.

In the end, they may reach Legend and it will come to an end. Before that happens, all of the rest is just weak conversation.

Minimum 10 games played your pick on courses. What you say Big Boy! My player will not be a "bagger" even if they were what do you care, every shot/putt matters ........right?

    no effect on teir

The vast majority of theose you see like that have probably restarrted a new account...but...heres what you do...

    Open account

PLay play play, AS, MP, any practice round, blittz, etc...longer you play, you level up...but no effect on tier unless youplay a ranked round.

Well he's nothing if not confident.

Did you get the saint's relic installed in your PC? I can see how that might boost your, ah, expectations.

Anyhoo, I'm on a fair bit, so if you see me, invite me,  I don't knock anyone back.

Maybe crying was the wrong word,as ppl seem to be taking offence to it,but after the 2 long threads i wrote some ppl are only picking out the crying part! i have already said i agree with most points of this discussion,i'm only saying if u wanna play against lower tiers u know u will run the risk of playing someone with the same equiptment as u fact!!

I have played a practice round from legend tees with my CC owner on kiawah which i ended up +3 after 18 and enjoyed the new challenge hoping to get to legend status someday, but like i said earlier the big difference between legends and lower tiers is the putting by and large as I've left so many inches short :0( I also agree some equiptment should be introduced for legend status, but u do have legend balls which so i'm told travels at least 20yrds more than other balls to combat the defeceit in yardage(probably be told this is untrue) but i can only go by what i've been told.I'm also sure some of u legends have no problems with using a long iron compared to a wedge and still get it closer to the pin than them because you know how to play the shot and are very good players as your averages suggests.Chrisironbones has no worries playing lower tiers as he relies on his knowledge and ability of his game to overcome the disadvantages of teeing further back and looking at his stats does so on a regular basis,

I also understand what u are saying as regards making lower tiers use an inferior driver,so they also may have to use a long iron into the green, but that leaves u then at an advantage as u are the better player being a legend,so what little advantage they had over a better player is lost,

Good points Russell, but let me clarify a a few things.

The Legend Callaway is maybe 2-3 yards longer than the Tour Iz Callaway.

I'm not advocating both TM's and Masters have to hit a 4/5 iron in just because I do, but maybe I hit 4/5 iron, they are in 6/7iron range, rather than wedge/9iron.

Funny how I never voiced concerns about this as  TM...lol...I was just focused on trying to make Legend before my buddy (we both joined WGT at the same time), I never thought of competition among other Tiers, but once up here, you soon realize you cannot play with the starter/cheap balls anymore and compete and you soon realize RG's and an occasional MPC game are the way to pay for your habit.
