Just finished very enjoyable match with jaycen129.
I started like a hack and didn't help with meter trouble either on 4. Jay played some nice golf to take advantage and go quickly 4 UP after 6 with 3 early birds.
I then woke up on 7 and started to hit the ding line with 4 straight birds to get it back to 1UP to Jay by 10.
Jay then knocked it to 1 foot on 11 with a very sweet 3 wood to open back up to 2UP.
2 halves on 12 and 13 kept Jay 2 UP.
Birdies for me on 14 and 15 got the match back to ALL SQUARE. Jay was so unlucky on 15 with a complete horse shoe on his birdie attempt.
We both birdied 16 and 17 to go to 18 all square.
Both hit fairway on 18th (Congressional), then had 3 woods over water into slight breeze.
I had my heart in my mouth has my 3 wood cleared the water and settled to 3 feet.
Jay hit 3 wood from 238 yrds into breeze as straight as an arrow.I thought it was nailed on, but unfortunately for Jay it flew over the green and into the water. Bummer finish for Jay.
Really unfortunate so I scraped a 1UP win.
Jay you are a please to play with, a fine player and a gent.
