Scottanchors: Oh so this is fair to you then that Mobile Version Players dont have to play one ranked round or a single 9 hole round to get to Tier Legend or TL... Sure the heck doesnt seem fair to me, And unless you have an answer to the question then dont comment Pal..........
From what I gather and I don't know the specifics... those players being promoted by WGT without ranked rounds have likely played thousands of coin games and built up hundreds of millions in silver coins beating higher ranked players than themselves.
It is why some are regarded as coin room specialist. A lower tier player who has quickly advanced and has maxed out sponsor apparel may even match up against a skilled Tour Champ that is just starting to play coin games... The coin room specialist clearly has an edge, but the "win" against a higher tier player will be just one of a number of factors that can eventually influence them being promoted.
Should a lower tier player be consider more proficient than a Tour Champ without maxed out apparel and less experience on the mobile greens? Is it fair to the mobile player to be forced into a promotion?
We don't know all the details, but I could argue saturation is also unfair method of forcing players into being promoted through ranked rounds and using red tee tournaments.
There are flaws on both sides... you will see a wide range of skill levels across all of the tiers. The challenge can be … focusing on the game, improving as much as you can and setting your own goals and finding your own measure of "success" or improvement. A promotion doesn't always mean the player is better or worse... but it can give some insight into how the player approaches the game.
Not matter what, coin games, red tees, default tees... low winds, heavy winds, you still need to learn how to execute the shots and make more putts.
Sorry I can't give more details, WGT doesn't release that kind of information, we can only go by what we see and observe and try to piece it together afterwards.
