Spin Error on Drives

    Briggs, it could of just been an abnormally bad deviation.  I certainly have seen plenty of WTF?? deviations in single player, but it could be in any direction, low, high, right, left.   I still remember the worst deviation I've ever had, 1st hole of pinehurst cttp, was low winds, I dinged a 3i and damn near missed off the right side of the green (that green is huge!), was a 30 yard deviation on a dinged shot.  This bug seems to often times produce a shot that has no spin in mpc, and i'd assume alt shot as well following a given putt.

    I've also experienced this.  It has costed me too.  At RSG's I have tried putting backspin on a drive but it kept on rolling and eventually found water.  It could be a deviation as stated by Bollox but I think it's just another flaw in WGT that they will have to look at.

    I am amazed that since the inception of this thread on 09-09-2011 5:23 AM that nobody from wgt has either identified or admitted that there is an issue with the NON APPLICATION OF BACKSPIN ON TEE SHOTS !  I have played this game for over 2.5 years and currently have accrued over 310 consecutive days play. Will somebody PLEASE admit that this is happening and do something about it.

    It happens in EVERY format , individual , 4 ball , alt shot ... EVERY FORMAT !

    Let's be clear, if you go back and read my posts, I have stated that the issue exists. Right now, I have no news though about possible fix. When I do, I will reply here. -wgticon

    Guys, guys, guys...............

    Let's face it, if WGT wanted to fix this so called problem they would have by now, they want players to lose balls, lose credits etc.......if it was a bug the technicians would repair it but there is no bug, this is WGT's VEM at it's worse, great efforts to all who have given replays and post after post to try and find the origin of this mess but you've been wasting your time.

    WGt can remove this thing whenever they want,  WGTicon, you're a disgrace , go home and stay home............

    This is the response we get from 20 days of posts and replays???? (since your last excuse filled reply that said nothing)

    You have not answered one question I asked yesterday in my long post!!  You have not handled this with anything like the professionalism that the players on this site, who are losing money and results due to this error, deserve!!

    You have not even honoured your original incentive to gift balls for the replays... i sit here gobsmacked again by the contempt of which you treat this serious issue.

    I agree with Tanneralis... what a disgrace.

    If anyone employee that worked for me, treated customers in this way, i would sack them on the spot. 

    and again... WHAT ABOUT MY 1000C ENTRY FEE??

    Folks, i dont know if this is what everyone is talking about, but this replay shows what i suffer badly from. I always use full backspin on this hole, and although i hit it early on this shot, i just cant seem to clear these trees, no matter which way the wind is blowing. I hit these stupid effing things 9 times out of 10, and its wrecking my head.

    Hey TWOMINUS,

    Hard to tell from that replay mate... i have experienced these "flatline shots" many times and that is a difficult one to see as you did "pull" the shot.

    Best action on this hole is to aim out right and "draw" the shot around the trees with a early click... only fail safe method to avoid them, same as preferred shot on 2nd at Beth.

    Unfortunately i feel these replays are a complete waste of time as the request by WGTicon seems to be a "Red Herring"

    A Red Herring is a fallacy in which an irrelevant topic is presented in order to divert attention from the original issue. The basic idea is to "win" an argument by leading attention away from the issue at hand.

    First of all, I am not avoiding it, I read this thread daily. I have nothing to add, so what I can reply to you with? I alerted the engineers and they have it on their list but that's the best I can do. If I have more details/news I will post. In regard to your question...

    I have no access to credits or anything like that, so I recommend you email members@worldgolftour.com and maybe they can look at it and see what can be done to fix the issue.

     I understand you all are frustrated, I do, but until I have new, there is nothing else for me to add, except pass additional replays as needed.

    WGTicon... i am editing this response to keep it civil.

    Not in a long time have i seen such arrogance and disrespect shown by a representative of a company, who has been given the responsibility of dealing with its members.

    To come back in here now and post a defensive and "i know nothing more" type reply is beyond me.

    To state you are not avoiding and read this daily, but have nothing to add is arrogance personified.  You have been asked specific questions, over and over again and you have chosen to IGNORE them. When questions get asked of your company, they deserve answers promptly. If you dont have the answers, you go and find them!!

    This issue has been going on now for over 3 months... this thread was started at the beginning of September.  For you to come back in now and say the Engineers have it on their list is BS.

    I do not know. I know that everyone is aware of the issue and that they are working on it. It may seem trivial on this end but it is much different as to finding what causes it. There many dozens if not hundreds of variables. Same was when we looked a the fridge issue.... there were dozens of variables and changing one would impact the other. It tooks weeks of actual testing and several month to fix it before even testing started."

    You ask me to PM you to explain what happened... that tells me that you can deal with this issue. Now, almost a month later you are asking me to email someone else to sort the issue.... i have asked you time asnd time and time again about this issue.. YOU CHOSE to IGNORE it!!  Now you are trying to offload it.

    Tell you what WGTicon... get out of your seat... go and talk to someone and get this sorted, you took ownership of this when you asked to be contacted directly, something i have not done as all info needed reagrding my complaint is listed in my 11-1-2011 post, including a replay of the incident.

    I am certainly starting to agree with Tanneralis over the fact that this may be an issue that WGT just has no interest in fixing.

    After 3 months of complaining, replays and theories from your members... and all we get is.. "Its on their list"... what else are people to think??

    Real answers, in real time frames are needed and expected WGTicon... NOT defensive, silly responses like your last.
