does the Block thing really work? I've already seen 2 players I blocked turning up when I put out a general invite on multiplayer games I hosted. I used to just have a written list of quitters/abusive players so I thought Block would solve that annoyance automatically but looks like i'll have to go back to the ol' fashioned list.

It does not block them from showing up in multi-player requests. I have already made this request to WGT and they said that it was a good idea and would consider it. But then, how far that goes...hmmm.

    Zindacup:

Here's a new feature about quitters.  Candidate for Quitter of the week:

    Jojoe3000,     Refermadness,    Tomiko30888,    Cubdawg,    Kevinbarry55, Gsweety101,    Pattirue,    JTdancer,    LewKingPin,    Tew7233,    Remi7,    Spw4919

    Please add your candidates

Naming players like this in the forums is strictly against forums rules and can get you in big trouble.

The people quitting are NOT first timers!  They are Masters on down!  I started 3 games tonight with all Masters & Tour Pros and never got to finish a single one!  The first 2 games froze when they left... the 3rd & last game (both Masters), left on the second hole!  Don't tell me they didn't know how to navigate through a game!!!

They start out badly and just leave!  What? No birdie yet?  Gone!!!  It's BS!!!

    Let's don't stop at TM's.

In the last few days I have been involved in 4 different games that were staffed by, yes I know it's hard to believe and I'm sure someone will require a snapshot , but they were Legends!!!.... Yes, Legends!!!   and the legends snuck out the back door without as much as a sideways glance. Two in one game and one in each of the other games.

Still wasn't as bad as the 3 TM's who seemed to be  having a fine round until the 6 th hole when I looked around and I was all alone.

I do agree that the lower the rating the more apt this is to occur but make no mistake, it's rampant throughout the levels.

    Thank you.

I've had a couple Tour Masters quit as well. What I was responding to was the comment that dealing with quitting would result in people leaving. That would not happen. But if it were an issue for new comers, heck, let them work it out. But once someone has moved up the ranks, they should know better than messing up other people's games.

    But I agree with you.

Some of these guys who are posting in favor of quitting or calling it 'freedom' are looking at it from a "me first" attitutude. Forget the other players. I want to quit, it is my right, so there. Eat it! Unfortunate.

And they comment about my being too upset with this issue. Well, just like you, I might play 2 or more games in a day where not one ends with all starting players. And often, the game gets hung up as well. That would frustrate anyone who actually starts a game with the intention of playing the whole game!

But statistically speaking, I find that if I play Tour Masters and Legends that I have a slightely better chance of getting to finish the whole game...start to finish. I say "slightly better", not perfect.

If I had been quitting games because of a few unwelcome boogies, I'd been a Legend long ago. I like knowing that at least my ranking and average is based on playing, not score padding.

An excellent repost rixertrader and one that I agree with 100% and I'm sure I am not the only one.

Its simple I have made this comment to wgt 2 or 3 times now, put the quitting percentage of everyone with their name rank and lv. and if anyone gets a quitting % at say 5%, then that player has to play alone until he works it off by finishing games. its simple effective and just plain right, I have read this whole post and My 4th grade teacher taught us that if you just complain its just as bad as the prob, work on a solution , the solution here is make them finish a game which only can be done if they remove the quit option. because whats to make a quitter from starting the game in solo and then just quitting again. I have been here a couple days and I love to play new peeps. so there is gonna be quitters until wgt does something so I gave my best advice and went back to playing, now its on wgt.

Im here to better my game could really care about anything else.

Winners never quit and quitters NEVER WIN. more wins for me have to put in the right order of how I want to live. and its not here complaining about something I cant change GOOD day.
