wgt does not have the right to penalize players for quitting. its not a good thing for players to do , but it is there game on there pc so its no ones buss. but theres. if wgt had a system to take pts away that would be fine. but come on sitting a player out for a few days for quitting is wrong, its soicalisim at its best players have the right to do what they choose with there game. plain & simple..................

Where did you get the impression that this business, or any business, is a democracy? You speak of socialism.  This isn't socialism, it is by design a dictatorship, as are most businesses.  Yes, they try to listen to their customers, but the end result is that they are going to do things they way they choose.  So yes, indeed, WGT does have the right to penalize players for quitting.  In fact, WGT has the right to forbid you from playing here on their site for no reason but that they don't like people with 'angel' in their name.  It is not, in fact, 'their' game, meaning the quitting player.  It is WGT's game.

And no, I wouldn't sit anyone out for quitting.  I would, however, disable multi-player games for them.  If they can't play nice with others, they can play with themselves.

    THE SOLUTION IS VERY SIMPLE.

It needs to be said again and again.

If someone disconnects for whatever reason from a mulitplayer game, whether it be a bad game, wants to be nasty to the other players (seen that), or has technical problems, they should simply be required to finish the game (alone of course) before they can play a new game.

    How simple is that?

Just make them finish the game they started IF it was a multiplayer game they disconnected from.

This way, they won't find any benefit if quitting a multiplayer game with just one shot left on the last hole, like so many I find do, or any other reason. They would have to finish.

    AND ONE LAST THING...

Because you get more points for finishing multiplayer games, those players who did not quit or disconnect should get full credit for all players that started the game when they finish. The player(s) that quit and had to finish later do NOT get credit for playing multiplayer, but only for finishing solo.

THIS WOULD GREATLY SOLVE THIS QUITTING PROBLEM FOR REAL QUITTERS AND THOSE WHO ARE KNOCKED OUT DUE TO TECHNICAL ISSUES.

I AGREE WITH THIS. TODAY STARTED A 9 HOLE STROKE PLAY WITH TWO OTHER PLAYERS, ONE A LEGEND AND ONE A TOUR MASTER. LEGEND QUIT ON HOLE 7 BECAUSE HIT A BALL OUT OF BOUNDS AND THE TOUR MASTER QUIT ON 8 FOR WHO KNOWS WHY. I FINISHED AND ONLY GOT CREDIT FOR PLAYING 9 HOLES ALONE!!!!

OK, If the big issue is all about the points being loss, then WGT should treat it the same way as if when a Legend is playing lower tiers and the legend leaves the game the lower tiers are still shooting Legend greens, so still give those that remain in the game the points for a multiplayer game.

That's not the main issue, but yes, it is a big issue as well.

The main issue is that OFTEN the game freezes because the QUITTER chooses to exit the game by closing the browser on his/her turn. This usually results in the game FREEZING UP for the other players.

Quitters and meters, meters and quitters, quitters and meters, and I say stop the posts because in this one sentence "they are going to do things the way they choose" is it.

Icon reads this every day for the last 2 years, THEY KNOW THE PROBLEM, but they refuse to fix THE PROBLEM, and writing these threads and posts are just a waste of time. We have to work around the meter problem, and we have to understand that quitting HAS WGT APPROVAL. That simple, that easy, so play the best you can play, and you can spend your time looking through the 1000's of posts on meters and quitting

We all know your better than the machine any way....lol  Good luck out there....!!

who cares what another player does, i feel that if i want to drop out of a game for any reason i don't owe an explanation to wgt or the player i'm playing with. same in the game as it is in life. it's called freedom to choose. rmpohl
