I found that the R9 swing meter slows down noticeably when you eliminate the starter ball and use something more exotic. Despite their higher cost, the Calloway i(s) ball, combined with the R9 allows for booming drives yet (with full backspin) allows irons to play more accurately without so much after-roll. Of course, the short irons will generally play like dart boards (on flat surfaces) anyway.  And if you can spend the credits, you might consider a 24 hour rental (when you know you're free to play your money's worth of rounds). Suggest you play a practice nine holes on any available WGT course first, with the new club(s).  As for hybrid or not not hybrid - I have found that my hybrid has much less after roll than my three iron (which I must carry in the bag), so I'm guessing the three wedge players are boomers who are almost always shooting directly at those tough to hit pin placements where one tick off the stripe is penalizing, and bunkers are ALL deep and challenging. I got around the three wedge dilemma by skipping the 54 degree. I carry a 60 and a 64 (my pitching wedge play is pretty good to enough cover the missing 54).

As for Drivers, or other items, I believe it depends upon where you wish to be in your WGT life. If your desire is to aspire to the top, then you must purchase the fastest meter clubs and spend a month or two to develop the rhythm to make them click...along with the variety of ball selection that is in concert with that rhythm.

Umm ,   yeah....if I were going to listen to and use someone's "Driver" advise , it would be from someone with nearly a 90 % driving accuracy........and that would be SweetiePie !                  Pack it up and pack it in boys.

lol didn't stop you putting your tuppence worth in,as far as i know the op asked for advice in an open forum,so it is upto the op on who's advice they take but  what sweetiepie wrote makes alot of sense but so did tarheel aswell.Lets face it we all listen to the better players on WGT,but a 90% driving accuracy shows they can hit a ball staighter than most, but what bearing does that have as to the op question on what driver would be good from the master tees?,as they are concerned about the distance left to pin on there drive.

Lighten up rookie....Only giving well deserved props to a veteran of this game..."IN AN OPEN FORUM." The OP can absolutely take whomever's advise  they wish...I stated whom's advise  " I "   would take..."IN AN OPEN FORUM."  Which leaves your tuppence not carrying much validity...but that's just  my opinion , given..... "IN AN OPEN FORUM."

Russell is spelt r.u.s.s.e.l.l. not rookie! i wasn't  trying to get in to a slanging match with ya,it was the way you came across!,plus the fact i mentioned it was you who'd had there tuppence worth,so could you please elaborate as to what you meant when you said"pack it up an pack it in guys!!" as maybe i may have taken it the wrong way, which is the main reason as to why i replied to your qoute, but i doubt it.

O.K. Russell , this thread had already contained several opinions concerning a proper driver for the master tee-box , including your's and mine , along with several other top notch players...then I see that one of my friends have replied to this thread. It being a "Driver" thread , and her being an excellent driver of the golf ball , I took the opportunity to tell her and others that I think just that.  It's that simple.  To elaborate on "pack it up and pack it in."  Well Russell , 89 % is the best in this particular thread is it not  ?   Lighten up a little babe. Giving props where they're deserved. Said nothing to , toward , or about any other individual.                 "Woman speaks.........Man freaks."                  Geeeez

Ok i submit, obviously your quote has had a lost in translation about it lol as your elaboration of it doen't make sense to me(maybe i'm thick) don't answer that :) as for your last comment i'm not sexist, maybe a lil chauvanistic but had a chuckle at it all the same.Btw can you hit a hybrid as good as Kramer? that's me lightening up no offence meant.Happy shooting
