...oh darn I know I am wasting my breath, but i do like a good debate.
If there were less ready go's, the current ones would likely fill faster - effectively cutting your wait time dramatically. It took about 14 hours for the last Oakmont Full 18 to fill.
I can't say for sure, but I think if there were about half the amount of ready go's, that fill time would be cut in half - and you would effectively we waiting 7 hours less to play the same ready go. No need to cut the wait time to 6 hours - just clean up the system.
The more popular rg's would still fill faster and they might fire off 3-4 times before the previous pays out. That's better for WGT in the long run - having these things fire off continuously with the same pool of top tier players that aren't putting a dime of real money back in is bad news - it could potentially push out new players or players that are establishing their games - they are the players that are putting in the $$ - Not the ready go junkies! Shortening the wait times just feeds the sharks more.
We have way too many 9's. Why is it necessary to have both 9's and a full 18 of the 4 non-tiered 100cr courses? why not scrap those 8 9's and add 9's of the other courses?
anyways... so please someone bring an argument contrary to mine other than "I dont like to wait" or "we are paying customers, so blah blah" . What benefit to the game's economy would shortening the time without making other changes bring?
For some real evidence that what I say may have some merit, take a look at my career earnings - about $800 of that was earned when the ready go's were first introduced - we had 6 to chose from - later there was 9 when Andy's was introduced. I am by no means a shark here - I just barely break even. During that time I had no trouble playing the same ready go twice a day. You can't really do that now.
