Hi, I'm Scott, owner of Doc's Place. We are an established club that Doc58 started with a few friends a number of years back. We have a lot of fun events going on here and feel new members might enjoy it as well.
These are a few of the activities we have here..............
Through a lot of research and effort choosing holes and creating themed courses we have developed over 20 nine hole custom courses and we play a different one chosen at random each week.
We have an ongoing cumulative Points Based Tourney that we play each week. We play 1 nine hole round per week until all the WGT courses front and back have been played. Thirty Four weeks per event. At the end of that time, points are tallied, prizes are awarded and the tourney restarts.
We have an ongoing Quarterly Handicapped based tourney that runs for 4 months at a time. At the end of that time the member with the lowest handicap based average is declared the Champ. Prizes are awarded and the next quarter starts.
We have an ongoing 4 round tourney that lasts for 12 days at a time. This is a club favorite and the leaderboard is always tight.
We have a Partner a Pro Series in which members can choose a pro partner during the Masters, The Players Championship, the US Open, The British Open, and the PGA Championship and combine their CC tourney score with the Pros to see who will top the leaderboard.
Plus, along with all these, new regular tourneys are created each day.
We have a Trophy Room where custom made trophies or plaques are displayed for event winners, hole in ones, etc.
We use Discord as our official chat program, and members meet there daily to set up and enjoy games of all kinds with other friends and members.
All members are encouraged to participate and offer their opinions in the forums as we like to joke around and kid each other and discuss club events there.
We have good players that are knowledgeable and willing to help out with members who may still be developing their game.
There is no actual requirement for participation in any of these events, but we would hope that new members would form a bond, like we have with our club and it's members and participate because they are enjoying being here with us and not because they feel they are required to.
That being said, this is not a place to just come and store your clubs and never or barely participate at all. We are looking for friendly, active members who simply enjoy the game and share the same interest as we do.
