I vote for Bethpage Black, with nary a water hazard that comes into play.  Keep it out of the long, long stuff and you'll never lose a ball.  Personally, I don't think I've ever lost a ball there.  Except the time I tried to hit the clubhouse for fun.

Which 9 holes would you nominate for the MOST lost balls?

I'm thinking Congressional back 9, unless you mean for a course's entire time on WGT. Balls lost per day would be Congressional back 9.

Hi Sgt., actually I was thinking in terms of the Worst 9 individual holes for absconding with balls... sort of a reverse of the "Best of...".

I'll nominate good ol' #17 at Kiawah for one of those holes.

Congressional 6 11 and 18 have to be high on that list as well.

I rarely lose a ball on 17 at Kiawah but I have lost several on #13 at Kiawah, I think that is the right hole, from the Legend tees it is a tight drive and if you try to cut it too close to the right side you can end up in the water.

Congressional #11 is very easy to dump a ball in the water.  BPB has very few places you lose balls as does RSG.  St Andrews has 17, which can eat a ball from the Legend tees if you hit it too far right or not far enough, the other holes on St Andrews only eat really bad shots.

Kiawah seems the worst for ball-losing - the 17th and 13th obviously, also, if you get greedy, the 2nd, the 3rd and I think it is the 4th (the tough par 4 with the marsh cutting through the end of the drive zone).

At St. A's, the burn on the 1st hole takes a lot of balls. The shrubbery at St. A's is pretty hungry for balls as well (the 4th and the 13th), also easy to lose balls out-of-bounds, for example on the 13th and 14th (playing out to the other fairway on the left) and just past the green on the Road Hole.  On the 16th there is out of bounds in the road to the right, and I once lost a ball out of bounds putting on the 16th green!

I don't know? I think that Congressional would have the most balls lost as said earlier,on the average.

It's a good question and I'd be curious to see which of these course's are the biggest ball eaters.

I know when i first started playin this, I would lose the most balls at #2 Kiawah Island. Knocked it in them weeds from not paying attention on the long 2nd shot.
