john i just finished my round 4 match play with an alternate and this is what happened. i set the game up like we practiced. after the third hole he quit then he sent an invite with different tee locations and different shot timer we played he won by one hole. does this count? and what should i do in the future should this happen again
We agreed to have a play match then we had the real deal with the correct conditions. He lost. Didn''t realize he was going to be a sore loser. And that plain and simple is the story.

This is what my player is saying how do you decide who is telling the truth and who is not.
Since this was discussed in an open forum I have to use what was said prior because now stories can change .. so I went back and looked at the players question he asked his captain;

Player Bubba clearly says he set up the match as he and his captain had practiced and then he uses the word " quit ". He doesn't say we went on to play the real match we agreed to play next or anything close to it.. he simply says your player sent in an invite with different tee locations and shot timer ......
Most important he is asking if playing on the wrong conditions count and what to do in the future if this happens. This club is new to winter league and so it makes sense he would be asking his captain and be uncertain. He never asked for the game back he simply asked what to do in the future. I GAVE THEM THE GAME based on your player timing out.
While Ironking believes the players should just play it again - I was already accused of being unfair for not listening to both sides because I based my decision on calculations of time and then it was said " Oh that wasn't the real match we were just practicing together" Problem is Player Bubba clearly says HE QUIT which tells me if they were having so many conversations as to say " Lets practice together why wasn't Okay now lets go play the real match said instead of Player Bubba saying HE QUIT and more importantly why weren't the settings set right?
The problem is clearly Bubba didn't want to start any crud just by not even saying Hey Man you got your settings wrong so I don't believe putting them on the field Bubba would feel comfortable playing now because he obviously wanted to avoid tension in the first place.
So Ironking I will give you 1/2 of what you wanted - which is the game will be replayed however since we've stressed the player Bubba out Laff N Play Choose any player on your Winter League team you want to play EspOrr to play in Bubba's spot. I am not putting a player who tried to avoid stress on the green back on the green only to play a horrible game because he landed in c.r.a.p asking his captain what to do in future.
EspOrr clearly shows in his statements above he is confident in his abilities so I don't believe there is an issue there with stress for him at all.
So there you have it.... it is what it is ....
