Anddd it was one year ago that I questioned and stated that according to their list of future courses, we would only get one course per year. Needless to say I was shot down by many and told that it was not going to be that way! Well low and behold the next on the list was Congressional for this year...I nailed it. Then, now according to the same future courses page, Olympic would be next the following year....I nailed it. Next on the list is Merion in PA for 2013. lol I do question the 2016 course though since we already have Oakmont. :)
No apologies needed. My statement then and the facts now just go to show I was right. Thank you and come again :)
I'm sorry, I don't follow you?
Are you saying that your prediction that we only get 1 course per year is correct? - thus you nailed it?
That's how I read your statement, I apologize if I am misreading you.
Um... Royal St Georges? You know, the other course that WGT put out this year. That makes 2 courses.
Yeah you really nailed it! I've head of putting your foot in your mouth but never nailing your foot to your mouth.. that is quite a feat.
...that said, WGT doesn't have an ongoing agreement with the R&A, so we are not guaranteed to get the 2012 Open Course, whatever it is.
Also we have Oakmont now because Pebble Beach wasn't copacetic to having WGT produce it as EA had some sort of exclusivity - Oakmont was the course for the US women's open. It would follow then, that when Oakmont rolls around, they might produce what ever course is for the women's open that year.
