The only complaint I have is the long load time between screens , like going to reverse view  when putting, going to a camera to move the marker to set up a shot, WHY I mean I am talking 10 maybe 14 seconds.

    Thanks

    Gary

And Andy? You didn't mention your internet speeds.

    Other browser windows open?

    Never-it always causes problems.

    OK that's one hoop.  Others?

This is bordering on epic. I listen to MLB.Com while playing. It used to be if there was an issue then  oh well, I live with it. Now, open Firefox, set it to run on core1. Open Iron to play, set it to run on core0 and we are PHAT!

Thank you many, many times Andy the Zeus!!    :-D

You still setting affinity?  You run Komodo Dragon no?  Another hoop.  Did you change your msconfig file?  If so another hoop.

What do you change on your PC to get a smooth meter Jim?  You might be truly blessed or have a different tolerance to meter stutter than most and don't even notice it. Since you are a "miss the ding" type player that could account for you not having problems with it.

BTW, I didn't think you were BSing me. LOL

Have you checked out your PC and internet? It's easy to blame WGT all the time but in most cases the problem is nearer home.

I tend to lean toward this way of thinking myself,    I have two laptops in my house, both of the same brand, and both using wireless internet.    Wgt runs pretty darn near perfect on one but the other the meter and graphics run so stuttery it's not possible to get through one hole.

Game booster and comodo dragon may have a lot to do with it.   The only settings I turn off are flag animation and reflections.

YJ, i'm going to give Comodo Dragon a try, seeing as its about jumping through hoops, and believe my, i'm like Andy, starting to see circles every where from all my hoop jumping,.LOL, I guess it wont hurt to just jump through 1 more & see if its better than chrome.

Clever manipulation there, Andy. Next time include the date of that post because I haven't used Iron in a very long time. Shame on you for that.

    Nope. Don't need to.

DLing a free browser is jumping through a hoop?

No, I'm not. Ding is king. Missing to aim is passé and totally counterproductive to the accuracy of the R11s.

Cleaned out the garbage from the msconfig startup. Period. Call this jumping through a hoop and I'll say hogwash-it should be the first thing anybody does on a new computer.

You can't come up with a reason why I don't have to do anything special on my 3 year old, Vista 64 bit laptop-there isn't one. Sorry.

2  questions Gary....Do you have your browser set to delete cache  at exit ? Or , do you manually clear your cache on a daily basis ? If your answer is yes , I advise to re-read WGTalex's statements in system requirements. You need to maintain (KEEP) a good cache , otherwise , you are constantly having to re-compile new game files. I have read sooo many say--> "I clear my cache every day" ,  well , if that's the case , don't complain about slow loads because she explained it very clearly and it has been right over there----------> for years.

The story is you used to have problems with this game until you started making changes to your PC, you adapted to WGT's game,  to get a smooth meter.  If you like driving without bumpers and fenders on your truck, fine.  No one should be required to make any changes if their computer exceeds WGT's system requirements.  IMO.  Let alone be Windows computer literate and edit their msconfig file.  (I'd call that something special.)

Let's just agree to disagree as we've been down this road may times before Jim.
