We’re excited to share an important update about the current and future of World Golf Tour. As of January 1, 2025, WGT is now an independently owned company, backed by a video game-focused, growth-oriented firm, and no longer part of Topgolf – marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our team, our players and our business.
WGT has brought you the most realistic golf game experience for more than 15 years, and we will continue to provide the most realistic, best-in-class golf game for years to come. This acquisition includes our existing team and will allow us to focus on WGT. Throughout this transition, we’re working to ensure an uninterrupted experience for everyone.
You will notice some changes to our branding (think: new logo, removal of Topgolf branding) in the future, including the removal of "Topgolf Mode" from the game at the end of this month.
This next evolution of WGT brings us back to our roots and has us looking ahead to the future with incredible support and new opportunities for growth and innovation.
