    WLawson22:
Create one coin room for all Showdown players.. make the entry level minimum coins and let all players use that one room.. all would use the same tees as in Montreal room. That way people playing Rookie or Expert could match but at least you would be playing another person playing the Showdown.

Doing a Showdown in a room without a large number of outside random players would sadly be impossible. The only way to avoid it would be changing the event to single player.

When I was growing up, I used to go bowling quite a bit. TopGolf venues reminds me of the junior bowling league I used to be in on a Saturday morning. For most of the kids, it was a reason to get out of the house and go clowning around for a couple of hours. No real interest in bowling. When I got to the TopGolf venue, the first impressions I got were flashbacks to those bowling alley days and I agree Simon that it was not a good one.

Kids are kids, so you can cut them some slack. The ones I'm talking about, however, are full-grown adults acting like complete idiots! I love having a good time too, but a driving range is not the place for acting like you're in a club or a bar.

I understand the marketing side of things. Got to make money to keep the business afloat.

It's very simple. Restaurants should focus on serving clean, delicious food, and game companies should focus on providing fun, stable games. If you nail those basics, customers will follow.

Nothing's more laughable than a company that can't deliver on the product but obsesses over marketing. Just look at those thriving mom-and-pop restaurants. They let their food speak for itself!

Hopefully we'll see some real improvements in what I think we're all interested in. I want to enjoy good golfing gameplay. The more real it feels minus the glitches, the better.

Can't agree more. Well said! 👍 Cheers.

    borntobesting:

Actually it may have been as high as 12

2 full  18 stroke play courses Cabo and whistler. their CCTH courses. = 4

The original 3 best of courses=7

Hilversumsche Golf Club - Group 1
    Hilversumsche Golf Club - Group 2  =8

    Bali Hai

    Best of Famous Shots
    Best of Putting Shots
    Best of Water Shots

Yes, it's all coming back to me now. I miss all of them. Cabo was a beautiful course, and so was Whistler. They would cost 40 credits to play each course.

How are you? Are you still streaking? I passed 4,700 a week or so back. You?

I see WGT will have a new course soon. Quail Hallow I hear. Do we thank the new crew, or TopGolf ?

May I suggest that there is a system to recognise persistent quitters as there used to be. Players would then have the choice whether to play against them or not.

Sure you can suggest it, but it's not gonna happen - WGT has said so on countless occasions already.

There are numerous legitimate reasons people have to quit a game, or will get frozen out by the WGT servers through no fault of their own.  Sure, there are legit quitters who don't know how to or care to forfeit properly and it sucks when you get one.  Those are just a fact of life (happens all the time in 3 hole practice skins games when playing with randoms for XP points), and they aren't going to start penalizing people for what may be legitimate reasons when they are trying to draw in new customers.

I've gotten to a level where I haven't improved in a long time. So I mostly play coin rooms like Beverly Hills. And lately for whatever reason there has been quite a few Legends and above. Most times I can hang somewhat close, but sometimes it's not a contest. If we get deep into the round and I'm down by 3 I usually send him a message that if I get down by more than 3 I'm leaving. To save hits on the ball which aren't cheap anymore. Most understand.

There's a correct way to forfeit, and most won't mind.  However if you just close down the app it can leave the other person hanging and cancel the match, not allowing them to collect the coins or apparel packs if they're on sponsor time.

Didn't know there is a correct way to forfeit. Can you share it here?

We did lose 3 support people to topgolf and which is why we're behind on support tickets. We just hired 1 support person and they should start in the next week or two!

OK, I feel better about the lack of response to a support ticket I entered back on Feb 17. I will be patient, even though my 1,100 day streak was set to zero by mistake...

This IS good news about the split from Topgolf...

    Thanks!

It usually depends on the situation. In the Showdown and Showdown Royale and it's the 3rd hole, and you're looking at a double bogey if you sink it. That's a good time to forfeit and get a bogey instead. Everyone playing you understands what you're doing.

Also, if you're playing a jerk, you let the clock run down (for the 2nd time), and just leave.

Or if you're playing a nice H2H, but your wife screams from the other room "THERE'S A MOUSE IN THE STOVE VENT!" Then send a "gotta go" message and forfeit, and fix the emergency.

    These are all legitimate reasons.
