    jmehdi:

    UPDATE:

Sold all my clubs, traded them in for various sleeves of golfballs, then gifted them to others.

I enjoyed reaching Legend. I enjoyed the competition. I enjoyed the challenge.

Since I don't want to spend anymore money spinning my wheels with inferior equipment for the next several months, I've decided to walk away.

    gl all

Sad that wgt lost another legend due to not being empathetic to the plight of legends. Jmehdi enjoyed readygos, and when moved up to the legend tees at such an early age ( level)  , not only did they have to go up against the best in the game competing in legend readygos, but had to do it inferior clubs.

I doubt anyone would begrudge  unlocking all clubs to players when they turn legend?  Wgt already said its ok to skip the time investment and will put  lvl 60 g10s in the hands of a hack first day he signs up , but ignores those who have invested months of dailey play and $$$ to reach legend tier.  How many players have to be encouraged to leave the game  or sandbag in lower tiers to avoid turning legeng too early.

Im lvl 92 with everything unlocked. My voice is not for me, its for others.   Really hope Wgt sees the disharmony amongst those who invested time and $$ to earn legend tier and give them the opportunity to buy the best equipment.

btw, I never met jmedhi, never played with them, only knew  through this one thread. Jmedhi was serious about selling out and leaving wgt .

12.26.11 Received 2 of 3 Pack of Nike 20XI-X Balls (L71+) (White) as a gift from jmehdi. Received Gift 0 cr

    interesting......joined 08.10.11

    reached Legend 16.12.11

    walked away 26.12.11.....

    some speed getting to Legend....!!!!

Thats exactly what Im saying... with all the equipment , knowledge sharing, forum tips,  and balls available.  Legends will turn quicker and quicker.  This person only played a handful of blitz, alt shot , and match play, but averaged over 110 ranked rounds a month.   Instead of rewarding them for playing ranked rounds and  advancing tiers, wgt effectively punishes them.

We no longer have to reach legend with starter clubs, raptures and wgt balls. Even at the lower levels, r11 drivers/ irons/ callaways balls are available to help tier up too quickly. I hope wgt sees with improved equipment and balls, scoring has dropped dramatically. Perhaps they should revisit the tier system because the current system encourages and rewards sandbagging  and punishes those who move quickly through tiers.

Under the current system, i bet you will see more and more players doing like this guy. http://www.wgt.com/user/profile.aspx?UserID=3645175

I have no clue who he is, and the way he is doing it seems utterly boring to me, He hasnt  played against anyone, so isnt taken advantage of his high level low tier.

He kinda reminds me of the duffer golfer who walks into the store and plunks down 2k on top shelf forged irons.  He bought the best, but still has to learn to use them.

I guess he is trying to  level up to 92, buy clubs 1 time and get best available and then then learn the game. Doing this hasn't broken any rules of wgt, and as long as he continues playing solo rounds not for credits, its no big deal. Just imagine the outcry if he gets to lvl 92 and purchases the best of everything and stops playing solo ranked rounds and used his big clubs / low tier to play for $$$  .   Ethically, it would be against  my grain and I'd bet most of you, but as long as this was his first account, would he have broken any wgt rules?

I love playing wgt, its the best game going on the net and understand its still in beta mode.  Wgt has been responsive to requests in the past , and hope in this issue, wgt revisits current tier/equipment/level system .

Holy hell, that's one high level hack.  And it only took 50 days to get there?  That's quite a lot of rounds.  I guess he's also taking max shots on most hole practicing.

As RUNWME says, nothing against the rules by the look of it but it does smell quite bad.

    RUNWME:

it is disappointing that WGT will enable a hack who creates a new account to be able to buy level up bars and go straight to lvl 60 equipement without investing a day playing or single ranked round.

Those bars are the biggest mistake I've yet seen from WGT.   They might as well call them the Mulit-Account Special.

Another good name would have been Here's another slap in the face for all you legends who've invested your time and money in us.   I guess they would have to be 2' long for the name to fit though. On the other hand if it means a few cheaters choke on them I'm all for that.

Please WGT, unlock all equipment for legends, regardless of level.

Do this and scrap those stupid bars and maybe a skilled doctor can remove that bullet you put in your own foot.
