    with the initial credits

So they start you out with free credits now?

As far as the 89 score goes, 2 Par 3's 6 Par 4's and a Par 5   2 9's 6 10's and an 11 = 89.  Sounds like an auto hit program that cant put it in the hole. Max shots on all 9 holes.

i'm fairly certain there was 100 credits in my account when i signed up.

it's the only explanation for sign up and gift on the same day. see various other posts on the same topic about others doing the same thing.

no auto program. i do this sometimes when near level changes. max out in 18 hole unlimited tournaments ( 108 over par :)  ) with 0 yards hits - min back swing and min follow through. minimal graphics to shows, therefore quick loading. a quick way of levelling up.

Sold all my clubs, traded them in for various sleeves of golfballs, then gifted them to others.

I enjoyed reaching Legend. I enjoyed the competition. I enjoyed the challenge.

Since I don't want to spend anymore money spinning my wheels with inferior equipment for the next several months, I've decided to walk away.

    Hi all,

For really no reason at all, I decided to come back and try Oakmont front nine using starter clubs and a free ball.

If you're up for it, give it a try. It's humiliating from the legend tees, but kind of fun in a car wreck kind of way.

I did manage 4 pars (and nearly got par at the 9th on one of the most absurd putts ever), 4 bogeys, and 1 double bogey (the 9th again).

Anyone up for a starter club challenge?

    J

And yes I have been noticing that Legends are getting younger and younger...drop the avg requirements by 1 or 2 strokes to even it out maybe? The only thing is I have never seen any Legend as young as tibbets who played when there were no Tour Pros and Tour Masters so he was a legend at LEVEL 30!!!!!!!

Tibbets reached the old (pre-Sept 2010) Master tier, and was moved to Legend due to his average when the tier changes were made. At the time of his leaving, January 2010, the top level was L30 I believe.

Pre Sept 2010 Master was the highest tier and there were no levels.  The Level system was added when Tour Pro,Tour Master and Legend Tiers were added.  To give the players that had been here a while a head start on the Level system, Legends started at Level 30.  Tibbets having already retired was raised to the Legend Tier with Level 30 status.

    Happy Golfing
