The other thing I've found with people who leave... so don't like playing very fast green. I understand if a master plays.. the default green speed is very fast.... which puts people off after they start missing putts.

I fully agree. Once master its hard to play with pro's or amateurs. They leave early because of the very fast greens. I think its unfair for masters that they always have very fast greens. In real that would not be normal too. I suggest WGT, that if a master is joining a game with pro's or lower status, the greenspeed must be suited to the one who started the game. Or when a master invites, he must be able to adjust the greenspeed in order not to scare off other players.

Not a bad suggestion, Bel... glad YOU weren't scared-off when we met. :)

And congrats on becoming Master! Especially after having you struggle through our games when I "sped-up" the greens on ya! lol

As far as the early quitters are concerned...

Did you ever notice that when someone leaves... their ball remains lieing there where they left it? I propose that those "abandoned balls" be deducted from a quitter's bag and awarded to the winner of that round. Thus providing incentive not to quit, and to remain til the end, to have a chance at retrieving a ball that you might not otherwise try out. Hell! Let'em quit!

Even if there's only partial durability left on that "used ball", I'd surely welcome the chance to try it out for awhile. Maybe when we have the ability to "default" to the ball of our choice, instead of having to use the "stock - unlimited" ball when our chosen round-started ball is exhausted, this can be implimented?

Talk about realism! Don't know 'bout you others, but when I find a ball during a real round, I put it in my bag to try.

I'll bet that THIS would change the tone around the forums concerning quitters! C'mon WGT! Let's take advantage of this issue, and make it REAL INTERESTING! LOL!

I'm sure someone will find something wrong with this idea... let's hear it... ;)

Love the Idea, Pugs...  but most hacks/amatuers are leaving WGT starter balls on the course.

One thing I don't understand, and it came to me reading the first few notes in this thread...

Why would anyone want to accuse a Master of cherry-picking their best rounds by not putting out the last hole?? What are they protecting... their "average"?

I'm sorry, but as I understand it once you make Master you never go backwards....

So why accuse them of trying to protect something that won't change either way????!

Hacks/Amat/Pros can cherry-pick all they want to get the promotion.  What are going to promote a Master to?  Maybe someday when the next level comes out, but until then, as someone else has said above...

    "Just shut up and play".

    Have a nice day.
