Good post, Weida, which I welcome as a useful contribution. Toggling between pitch and putt view to see the break from 2 different angles is a worthwhile effort, indeed, started by no less than BolloxinBruges (see youtube video). The stop watch is a tricky refinement, which can add precision to the gauge. The greater the effort you put into putting, as into anything else in life, the greater the chances that you will proudly succeed. Laxity leads to mediocrity, which in turn leads to a nauseous feeling of underachievement. As for muscling putts past their normal power value to avoid coming short of the hole, I would advise caution and recommend moderation. The added power will straighten your putting line somewhat, and may cause you to lip out or miss altogether, perhaps enough past the hole that the risk of a bogey on a birdie putt will become a painful possibility.
