i know right? i live about 15 miles from it, and know the place well, i think it would be great to have a course with these types of colors, almost all of the used courses here have some yellowish grass, whether that be brush or similar. the 17th i think would get a lot of buzz and would definitely be one of the most popular holes in wgt.

Apart from the facts that this has been mentioned a kajillion times before, WGT can only produce two courses a year and these are currently the US and British Open courses, TruGolf doesn't have a simulation of Sawgrass and EA reportedly has a huge agreement with TPC which includes exclusivity of their courses for whoever knows how long, it sounds like a great idea to me.

Sorry to be a bit cynical but that's the facts.

    Jack.

Nah, the other way around.  WGT will buy out EA Sports... just so they can get Augusta National.

If wgt fished all my lost balls out of the water on the 17th at kiawah and sold them back they could buy the Sawgrass course itself

You remember the old Links game, they had the TPC courses on that so unless EA Sports bought the Links group then it could be that others have access to the TPC courses as well.  In reality I don't think the TPC - Sawgrass will make a great WGT game because it just isn't long enough and can't be stretched out, same with Harbour Town which maxes at about 7,000.  With the balls and equipment you need close to 7,400 for the back tees.

Interesting, I hadn't thought about this before. But ultimately I reckon that WGT courses will depend on US Open and The Open picks by USGA and R&A, respectively, rather than total yardage. I'm looking forward to see how the next few HD courses will play on WGT - as far as I know the Olympic course, Merion and Royal St Annes & Lytham all are rather short courses under 7,000 yards. Hopefully this will provide an opportunity for WGT to consider introducing more features such as stance and shot shaping.
