Since everyone wants new courses,me included. Here are my suggestions. How about WGT using the courses from the Robert  Trent Jones Golf Trail? It consists of eleven (11) different sites and seventeen (17) different courses. EA Sports cant have all of the courses locked-up. WGT just has to look around and they will find plenty of top courses too choose from..... FOoouurr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not that WGT have no imagination or idea which courses to cover, or that EA Sports have snatched rights for each and every classic course. It's about costs and capacity. Developing a full stroke HD course takes half a year from start to finish, so don't expect more than two full stroke courses per year. The next (Olympic course in SF) should arrive in about 3 months time...

    Hello,

I'm a little confused by something.  I started playing on this web site last month.  I see other courses such as Pebble Beach, Celtic Manor, Bali Hai, Pinehurst No. 8, etc.   Are we not able to play those courses?  If so, how do I get access to them?

    Please advise and thanks!!

You can play those courses as "Closer to the hole" (CTTH) competition, which includes 9 shots per course from predetermined positions. In other words, these aren't full stroke HD courses. And no, there is no such thing as "locked courses". The courses you mention are only available as CTTH, no matter which level or tier you're at. Hope this helps...

Pebble Beach is a special case - WGT had it (in the CTTH format only) but lost it (temporarily, they say). Never explained why, probably legal. It is supposed to return as a full stroke play course when the US Open returns to Pebble Beach (2019).

Though that is several years away I'm not sure we'll get Pebble Beach in 2019.  We didn't get it in 2010 when the U.S. Open was held there... got the U.S. Women's Open site as a substitute... Oakmont.

The menu has different modes for play. I f you want stroke play Bethpage, Oakmont, Kiawah the game will give you course options according to play selection. Celtic Manor Bali Hai come under Closest to the Hole. Pick you play selection first and game will give you course selection. Pebble Beach is not available for any type of game play......Be careful, this game can be addictive !!!!!!!!!!!!! THE MAD GOLFER
