G0LD: When you try to determine the aim of your shots, you have to factor the lie you are shooting from and the topography or distinct characteristics of your landing area to the hole, together with the direction and velocity of the wind in your path. The more precise are your calculations, the more your shots are accurate, provided you ding them. The ding is what allows your shots to be consistent with these calculations, instead of being at the mercy of the ever so fickle lady luck.
First, I don't find aiming that difficult and I'm sure you don't either judging by the scores you post.
We play for ding, but the beauty part about the best equipment is the high precision those clubs have. We can still have an effective shot if we do miss ding. Depending of course we miss on the opposite side of ding the wind is blowing. This is where the luck factor takes place. I mentioned in another thread that this game was 100% luck, but I was wrong about that. I would say it's more like 40% luck.
As far as a clubs swing speed, it's all player preference. I find the R11 clubs coupled with a Callaway, Nike, or even a GI2-SD2 WGT ball makes my meter speed quite adequate. I may not be able to ding every shot, but that's not the swing speeds fault, it's the fault of my reflexes not being able to stop the meter on ding.
Are you wanting this game to take on more of a carTWOn approach, and control the ball to the pin with a better degree of accuracy? This would be lunacy. This game plays incredibly like real golf and doesn't need anything changed IMO.
