Ok, first things first, I prefer the other WGT graphics as opposed to to the "console" graphics of Cabo and Whitler. Just played the closest to the hole so saw a bit of the layout, elevations and scenery.

Looked ok to me, will play the free 18 and that will be it.

I really felt robbed when a mate asked me to play to pay Cabo and I won't be paying to play Whistler.

What I don't get (and I did read the other Whistler post), is that this appears to be much better than Cabo (it is) due to feedback from people playing there. Fair enough, I think that is great and well done anyone that has provided that feedback, long may it continue. ... So they charge people to play lower (in my opinion) standard course to get the feedback!?

    Maybe I'm missing something !?

Ho hum, back to the twitchy finger action and the eternal search for the "ding" :

If I get loads off replies to this, my apologies in advance if I don't respond 'cause I probably can't be arsed!

Be cool all, enjoy Whistler ! :)

Cabo and Whistler are done by another company, TruGolf -- hence the green fees and cartoonish graphics instead of HD photos.

that's cool but even an outside company wanting feedback charging appears a bit odd to me hehe. :)

Agreed! I won't be paying to play this course unless it's heavily modified. Why pay for a course only half as good as the others ..... makes no sense.

    heff,

when I'm asked to pay for a course while many others are 4 free, I expect something better. Unfortunately, Whistler doesn't provide this.

I played it once - free of charge - in the tournament, and it's a nice undulating course, no doubt.

    Still I'm not overwhelmed.

The colours aren't true, the graphic is inferior to the WGT courses.

The course seems terribly easy - on the first try I shot a 70, plus 2 strokes penalty for an OOB.

The greens are quite tricky, yes, but that won't be an argument to pay for it very often.

FWIW, the same applies to Cabo where the graphics looks a bit better. Interesting layout but not too different views from Kiawah.

I'll play both of them every now and then for sure but I won't make a habit of it.

I like the course  a lot.  Its got tight fairways , big elevation changes, cool new scenery  and challenging greens.  Yes the free courses are photographed and if this one was done by wgt, no doubt it would be the best looking course of them all.  Its cartoon, ok, but still a very fun option to have.

You can choose to pay for it and take advantage of it or not.  Wgt is working on  another release of high quality course that will be out soon.  In the meantime, smattering about a few tru-golf courses just adds to the versitility.

Play it 1 time for free here http://www.wgt.com/tournaments/details.aspx?ID=496020d2-0d88-4a36-b114-a0130081e08a&name=Chateau_Whistler_18-Hole_Single_Play

or you can pay 1.00  and play it in a readygo ( where you have a chance at winning part of entry fee back)
