I think it comes into play more often when someone from a higher tier gets beat by a lower tier and gets frustrated.

Actually, the most egregious of the sand baggers prey on their own tiers.  It's not the rare case of a TP or Master beating a Legend.  It's the TP shooting 58 in his monthly tier Open or tier RGs, along with MPCs and Skins.

WGT should only offer clubs by tiers and not levels. Levels should only be good for advancing to the next tier, not purchasing equipment. And start making multi-player games count toward leveling-up to the next tier as well. All WGT would have to do is add to the amount of XP points it takes to advance to the next level, and not to unlock equipment.

The tee-boxes are already specific to a certain tier, why not make the equipment the same way? Brand specific equipment to a specific tee-box. It would increase pro shop sales even more as a player leveled-up to the next tier.

Anyone who doesn't like this idea is telling on their-selves. LOL!! : )

So what do we do with all the lower tiers with all the finest gear.

As far as I see it they are automatically promoted to the tier of the gear they are using.

WGT has done it once already when tour pro's and masters suddenly woke up one morning and found themselves Legends.

I ts the only way that I can see your idea working.

ps... I am probably shooting myself in the foot here as I am a struggling TM level 92 with all the top gear. God knows how I would play as a Legend off the back tee's:~))LMAO

You completely answered your own question and quite magnificently if I say so myself.

I like the idea, I'm new and it seems as if as soon as I bought all my gear, the score dropped slightly and the tier increased quickly. I still get beat regularly by "new" players with starter gear. The bottom line is there is no real solution to sand baggers. They are simply assholes manipulating the system in their favor. Much like lawyers do.

Where would someone using an R11 driver and Rapture irons fit in?  Or starter irons and Cleveland wedges?

And what if a person who was promoted to Legend (solely based on owning the R11's and not on their playing ability), was to sell all their gear and revert back to using only starter clubs and balls?  Demoted to Hack?  Just curious....

"Equipment ownership is no basis for a system of tier advancement.  Supreme WGT status derives from playing ability, not from some farcical driver ceremony."

"You can't expect to wield supreme power just 'cause some watery Icon threw an R11 at you!"

There are different versions of certain clubs. Some belong in the Am and Pro tier and some belong in the Master and Legend tier. If nothing else, this would be a good time for WGT to introduce new tier based clubs.

As far as playing ability, everyone had to learn their new tier respectfully. The amount of XP points will be increased significantly from tier to tier as well. This way players won't advance in tier too quickly. Right now it takes over one million XP points to get from level 94 to level 95.

The bottom line is, something needs to be changed or tweaked with the tiers and levels to make a level playing field, and there's a lot of good ideas being put out here by other members that can be implemented into this game the right way.

It doesn't do this game any justice if players are allowed to simply game the system to gain an advantage over another player. It also doesn't make sense why WGT would allow this game to go on like this. This is just my beta testing feed-back.

WGT shot themselves in the foot game wise (but probably not financially) when they changed from tier based unlocking of equipment to level based.

They should realise their mistake and revert back to the old system.  And if a level 90 pro who still has a 70 average yet playing with 280 yard driver, WGT should swap the 280 yard driver for a 250 yard similar brand driver and refund the difference in credits back.  Either this or that pro gets promoted to master (let him choose) If he/she hasn't visited the pro shop to swap drivers within 1 week, then wgt knows they want to get promoted tomaster otherwise if they've swapped driver then they stay at pro.

In my case I just made Master with a level 54 ( IMO punishment for me ragging on sanbaging).....I paid $34 for the set of clubs I have now, and was drooling to get G20s at level 59......I cant reach any par 5s now and there are some fairways I can barely reach at all....I am now forced to buy better clubs once again, just so I can compete?

Guess what WGT, you lose.....no more challenges cause I cant compete against anyone let alone level 90 pros ( you know who you are) = lost revenue AND next clubs I buy will be the best ones and last ones I buy at level 80+....more lost revenue WGT...how are the runners of this unfair system going to buy the clearasil for the pimples on their young arses?
