Selectable 'lie' option would be great to have as an option, for testing club distances, practicing the elusive effective chips out of the rough, etc

whats the point of having a driving range? driving ranges are boring in real life so will be a hell of a lot more dull in a computer game... a pratice green and chipping area is a good idea

ps. Please can we have gimme's added in ranked & practice round. it would speed the game up

    WGTniv:

We will be creating and expanding practice facilities later on Tres, but I'm pretty certain it won't be in the manner you've described there.  It will most likely be a driving range.

Thank you very much for the reply Niv.

wgt, thought id bring this up again . I have never been to a golf course that didnt have a driving range ? Meaning why dont we have that option. Every one I've ever been to has a putting , chip shot , sand shot and driving areas where you can tune up your game or warm up for a game while waiting for players to arrive. If you went to these areas you had to buy a bucket of balls to use them with the exception of the putting green.  I would like to see one here on wgt one day even if i had to buy buckets of balls to go to these areas to practice my game. If you choose to use your own balls you still loose the life of the balls like the your playing a round . How about next time you do a course take some pictures of these areas and put them in the game. wgt is allready one of the best of making the best game there is so how about going one more step into making the golf course more real and adding this into your game. Hey you guys make money on balls and we get to practice its a win win situation for all.

However you have  to waste some of those shots just to place your ball back into a chipping position. so that is not a very good solution, Not only that but you also use up your balls or use the unlimited balls and can't use the spin factor . Which does not give you a true affect of your chip shot. I still say work on some of these things instead of always trying to increase the length of ball distance or providing longer driving clubs to produce more revenue.

Absolutely nothing that I can see. I have used it in other sims and it is very useful, in order to figure out what you did wrong with a shot and how to do it right.
