OK, I'll shed some light on the mystery. Mike and I formed a bond many
moons ago and I really enjoy his company. We hadn't played in a while but
got to together yesterday. I made some suggestions to help his game which
included changing his wedge set up. After we played I decided to gift him
the wedges. I had some inclination that life had been dealing Mike a raw
hand lately, but really had no clue of the extent . My gesture caught him
so off guard that he felt compelled to start this post. He didn't want to
name me for fear the beggars would have a field day.
I genuinely enjoy practicing random acts of kindness, but selfishly it's
usually on my own terms. I have NO PATIENCE FOR BEGGARS. Ask and
you surely won't get it. Be a kind, decent person and good things
will come your way.
The message from Carlin is something that I read often and keep on a wall in
my office to remind me not to lose sight of what's truly important in life. Man what at different world it might be if
everyone read that just once a week.
