Well done Jake. People like you make this an even better gaming experience. I have been gifted by others also. You have no idea how it makes you feel until someone is that kind to you.

Thank you very much for what you have done, and thank you for enlightening us as to the mystery.

I genuinely enjoy practicing random acts of kindness, but selfishly it's usually on my own terms.  I have NO PATIENCE FOR BEGGARS.  Ask and you surely won't get it.    Be a kind, decent person and good things will come your way.

I don't blame you one bit about the begging, I wish WGT could do something about that and the fake half necked so called females that do most of the begging.     Go Dawgs

Great thread and it's nice to know some people are still compassionate.

You know what really pisses me off?

People who purposely use this section of the Forum as their pulpit.  As if whatever they have to say is relevant to the whole community, keep it private, as if anyone gives a s**t here, and you yourself even admit as much, if its .1% tell them not the 99.9% who do not give a s**T.

You sir are an *** !!! If you don't like the thread leave it be for the ones with heart who can appreciate the kind words and gesture.

Couldn't agree more. I've observed these forums for years (literally).

Any one who dare speak out against these bullies will get thrashed in numbers.

The O.P. is basically stating "i'm special and you're not" and "I have an inside secret but I won't tell you what it is".

Please.. like Jake Stanfill et al doesn't already have hundreds of beggars. What's a hundred more?

Forgive me for not getting all teary eyed because Mike couldn't pay for his own wedges and someone with 500,000 bought them for him. Awwwwww. Why not go donate that gift card to a meaningful cause rather than some pompous guy all up on the wgt.com.

I've read many posts from several people chiming in here.. and at times they are down right rude and especially condescending. What it all boils down to is that the WGT forums are being overrun by a clique of bullies who treat anyone outside of their "circle" as if they're completely worthless.

It's common on online forums. Bullies, over-inflated egos; the "special" ones. If that's what you call "good" people you might need to reconsider your values in life.

That's probably why the 99% of wgt members stay away from the forums and don't feel like a "part" of the "wgt community".... posts like this and the 1% involved. So in essence these forums have become a private messaging community for the "cool" people...   people of value which is measured by their ability aim an arrow and click a mouse.

Legends? no. Schoolyard children with extremely low self esteem.

Maybe you should have practiced what you are preaching!

Come on Arch.  While I respect your opinion, I certainly can't agree with it.  I believe you missed out on the intent which was to say thank you to the very small percentage of people who actually care about people other than themselves.

Who is being a bully?  The only people in this thread demonstrating an ounce of aggression are you and LordDunne, to which you are certainly entitled.

It's not about the money man, and for the record I have less the 50k in my account, not 500,000.  After this post I will probably be left with a lot less because I plan to give 100 Nikes to a friend who shared (because of this thread) an unbelievable experience that has profoundly impacted my life from this day forward.

Mike certainly could buy the wedges himself, and has the means to do it.  By life giving him a raw deal I merely meant that he needed someone to show a little compassion and kindness, that's all.

I will be the first to say that I am not a Christian for my own reasons but I am an extremely spiritual man.  Not sure what life has done to jade so much Arch but wish you the best my friend.  I was there once too, but a few very hard times which could have buried me even deeper actually gave me perspective and opened my eyes to a whole new and much more fulfilling life.

Am I a sap?  Quite possibly.  But if so I'm a GIANT sap with some serious skills.  Not sure what scares people worse, seeing a 6'7 265 pound trained athlete turn into the Hulk or weep tears of joy and compassion.  Luckily for me, the latter happens way more than the former these days.

Very well said Jake and I feel lucky to call you one of my friends. I hope you don't let this post get under your skin as i know that you can be set off at times. You are one of the first to help me on this game and truly appreciate your tips and wisdom on the game. Also I know of the troubles that you went thru yourself and just like to pay it forward at times.     Rock
