I would like to say that this was the best reason to watch golf..this excitement and the pressure..amazing. being a Euro comeback on US soil this is bigger than brookline to me. however, i think the main culprit here concerning the players was stricker (and maybe even woods). stricker literally contributed nothing to the team, and woods didn't help much either. a lot of ppl said Love III made the right choice with the captain's picks, but if he had left stricker out and gotten say Mahan in..who knows?

Stricker was a lock as a captains pick...nobody questioned the decision when it was made. Hindsight is always 20/20.

Ya have to Excuse me for not remembering his name.....

I think a lot of credit should also go to the guy who played Tiger on the last day... Squaring the match against Tiger , who usually likes big events like this,   ..... is Awesome

I think to be fair to Team America....they were beaten by a team who were much hungrier for victory and in such circumstances, even if Team Europe had needed to win 10 out of the 12 last day singles matches, I'm sure they'd have found a way to do that.

Sure.....many of the US players made mistakes which ultimately cost them the Ryder Cup in the end, but regardless of how much single play earnings they have individually, there was a totally different kind of extreme pressure on them throughout the 3 days playing as a team, especially on the last day when they were originally 10 - 6 up and what many folks excluding Team America thought would be a walkover. The US players knew they still had a tough fight on their hands.

I'm thrilled that Team Europe managed to pull off the win and the way they did it but I'm also full of praise for Team America & Davis Love III  for playing their part in making this Ryder Cup such a memorable competition with Seve looking down on them. :)

Well done to both teams for giving us all a fantastic 3 days of world class golf. Golf in general is looking in very good shape which is great for the sport.

I can't help thinking that it's what the Yanks deserved. Altering the course to suit their players was far from sporting. We didn't do that at Celtic Manor.

    You mean like this Piz?

Curtis Tyrrell, director of golf course operations at Medinah Country Club, talks about the improvements to the course for this week’s Ryder Cup.

Last year, Tyrrell and crew removed 660 trees from the course. That’s more than half of the 1,100 trees removed from the course.

Cheers to team Europe! You had all the heart. Poulter was a BEAST!

    Woods/Stricker were disappointing.

THe best team won, again. All hail Europe. Great comeback. Well done!

(P.S. if you think Chicago people are bad just be glad you weren't playing somewhere in Philadelphia lol)

The 2013 US Open will be on the outskirts of Philly. We'll be looking for ya. ;-)
