    About those basket pins
Aren't they installed to protect the flags from hostile atmospheric conditions?

Did you know they open up and can be used as containers? (aka Hobgoblin offerings)

That's how they lure you in Yancy. Body snatchers they are after all.

Exactly!! Then you're nourishment for whatever is planted inside them.

Get crackin', Yancy. Getting a little nervous now.  Enough with the investigatables and a little more explainables, por favor.

I was told they were Sasquatch eggs.  You mean they aren't?

Having been there a number of times, I can enlighten you on this Yancy.   There are about a dozen of these around the course at STA - Old course.  When you approach them they start to glow and humm a little.  If you put your USGA handicap card in the slot on the left hand side of the stone, it reads it and if you are a real player (under 5 handicap), the stone slides away to reveal a stairway down into a secret golf club.  The underground club has free drinks and burgers all served by a wait staff supplied by the Perfect 10 organization.  To my knowledge it is the only place in Scotland where you can actually get cold beer and decent burgers as well as see women with good teeth.

Please don't tell anyone about this or I will get expelled from the group............

Sorry TarheelsRule, but a burger anywhere in Scotland is impossible !!!

These objects are remains from the time of the invasions of the Nordic Vikings and they are a part of a secret communication system that led the great Viking Leif Eriksson to North America in the 11th century. Leif had a slaughter with him that was left on the beach when the party returned. That man later became the ancestor to the inventors of Flash Peppar and the so called "Meter". Some of the later sons in the family invented the so called "burger" as well.

Leif and his family were praised in centuries in the Nordic countries for deporting that man, but now we all suffer under the result.

The secret is simply to hit all the antennas under one and the same round and Leif Eriksson will return to take away the heads from the shoulders of some certain  programmers. After that will there never again be a Flash or Meter problem and VEM will disappear for ever together with the so called "burger".

    ps

The solution to the "space bar issue" is not included in the return of Leif Eriksson

Indeed good burgers are as hard to find in Scotland than a good lie in the rough on a links course.

Obviously the hamburger is flown in from the US every day.
