Folks are told that these are march stones, formerly used to divide the land. They denote how much the course has grown from there. There's also one on #7.

I'm sure that this is plain wrong to hide the real reason.

Remember Stargate? The purpose of the pyramids? Can't give more of a clu&%$!"§%carrier lost

Nice shot Mr. Ambassador ! I had a similar encounter with this object, but, my ball landed just to the left end of it. From that position, the object appeared to be hollow as I could see through it. It may well be a portal to another dimension. Further research is indicated .

    Doc :)

I always thought/hoped it was a teleportation device that once hit would drop your ball above the flag on the green and you'd have a % chance of making a hio on a par 5.  O.o

    My name is Aaron

Very close to the truth Opy. They are actually the embalmed and shrouded bodies of the 2 vem developers, buried up their necks. Feel free to fire balls at them...

IDK about that flap, only got near enough to see it close up once. I don't think it hurt the club after I hit the approach but that club has been acting funny ever since.

About those basket pins-I sure hope they're not something that is going to hatch like some extraterrestrial pod or something. You might run a bug sweep around them to make sure they're not some eye from the other side checking stuff out. :-I
