  Update:

  No fairy tale ending to go with the castle.... 2 attempts I tried.

  1. Hit across path towards fairway 60 yard wedge, 3/4 power,  full bs... ball moved 5 yards and I got OB/Lost ball

  2. Tried going forward to green - ball scooted left across path ...... and the f/w .... and yet again another OB/Lost ball!

   

  Couple of ..ahem..items need replacing - anyone know a good drastic surgeon?

   

  I surrender WGT.

  Oh man... I am so sorry to hear that Johnny. 

  So, I'm confused. Is it really possible to land in an area that's beyond OB (or amongst OB but still in play), and then hit back towards the fairway but end up OB. That doesn't make sense! Is that a common occurrence at Whistler?

  And it seems that the second shot did find a clear route through, so much so that there was too much power on it. What did you hit?

  It sounds like this might have been a good tourney to combine with a restricted equipment setting of starter balls only. I only hope this kind of extreme punishment of a really challenging lie doesn't put people off unevens.

  oh.... just found this.... 

  so it whistler !!     UN evens this week !!  

  MAN O MAN .... this shud get wild.... think i mite try it in the morn ..fresh..lol

  gl ya'll.... wish there was like a ...all 9 course .. running tour like board...just un evens,,

  It looked good from the player viewpoint when I hit the shot and I thought 'wee chance here',  then it veered left and just flew. I used my  pw (120) and hit full bs with about 95% power - I aimed miles right too.

  The actual lie wasn't bad at all - 15/20% hard sand if I rem correctly. It was more what was around me that caused the problem. I did a 360' with the target and each box was as bad as the previous.

  In saying that, the 1st attempt barely moved and I was surprised to find I was OB - that's WGT for you though.  One annoying thing though was no matter where I placed the marker when trying to go across I couldn't see the yardage until it was on the path in front of me showing 20 yards or so - meaning I had no idea what the distance was to the centre of the f/w.

  I don't play Cabo or Whistler at all unless they're on the weekly roster. If it had been unlimited I'd be out on it again though.

  WELL..... 68 

  Whistler is tricky.... mainly because i don't know the subtlety's of the greens around the holes... 

  i musta rolled it over the edge of 4 or 5 good birdy chances.... ugggggg ..

  i get all nervy...missed bird on 1st dang par 5.... then ...par'd the nexxt 4...ho humm...

  then decided to whak a tree on 6!!   ..man i was aimed plenty safe i swear !!!   ...where's that carnsarn VEM9000 ???/   i think he was in on it.... ( dam bogey'd) 

  then tho...i got hot !!   birdy'd  7,8 an 9 !!   ...yeaaaaaaa... ..

  ok,,,the back side...after doing my best attempt at the new anti"" VEM"" twerk dance ...i tee'd off .. par'd 10-15 ..then bird 16 an 17 ...  lucky one too,,,putt hook'd hard at hole,, ...then missed ez one on 18....  grrrrrrr,,,  from 8ft... 

  oh well..   had funn... nuthin spectacular  ...dang it... boooooooo ..lol
